Not sure if it's just my server but the profiles use here that produce items just, the market board just gets flooded with them by botters non stop. Theres items that have gone down in price by half and others that have almost lost their value. I know it might be just the supply and demand bull crap but there's this one botter I always see botter the crap out of items with 2 accounts then proceeds to undercut for the next 2 weeks until he destroys the item for everyone else and himself, it's honestly annoying i've thought about reporting him because he does it non stop.

Duskborne, Baked pira pirapira, Drac pots and the 8/8 rare sands have all lost so much value because someone decides to bot the crap out of them non stop and proceeds to undercut every day.

Of course these items have supply and demand but duskborne from 1.2k to 200gil is disgusting. And the fact that baked pira pirapira lost its value by half and he's still botting it is amazing that no one has reported him because i see him everyday botting it.

I'm not saying stop botting i'm just saying if you have no emergency for gil don't fucking destroy and bot the crap out of an item until it loses its value.

Prime raid consumable prices bombed because there's no content to use them on. Good players with clears no longer need the best consumables. Bad players still learning fights never used them.

Go for crappy consumables - the bad players are still using those. Or go with house furnishings since there are a lot of of new homeowners from the christmas sale. There isn't going to be much market activity until new content gets released though. Figure out other ways to make money. You've got an insane advantage over the regular player with a bot. It's your own fault for not figuring out good ways to use it.

You're not going to find any sympathy here for complaints about someone "overbotting". It's asinine to complain about other botters botting better than you.

I'm not looking for sympathy, i just want people to not fucking destroy the market by botting absurd amounts of items. I know its botting or w/e but you're only ruining it for others and yourself.

Edit: Also Drac and Baked pira pirapira have been fine for the last month it's just that in the last 2 weeks this guy has destroyed it because he was impatience

As Iyake said, look at other things that sell, if one person is flooding the market using 2 accounts to farm a few items, use yours to farm other items that sell as well.. I personally wouldnt waste time botting something that only sells for 1.2k, and HQ duskborn on my server doesnt sell anymore at all since no one really needs it now... If i were to bot them, I would probably use them in recipes and sell w/e.. farming raw materials is rarely a good money maker, especially on high pop legacy servers..

But if someone wants to use their bot to bot absurd amounts of item, then flood the market with them.. thats their choice i guess.. I'm sure they know they are destroying the market on that item.. but this far into the expansion.. hardly anything sells for as much as they used to..

Sounds like someone on gilg is salty af.

You are some casual user who hasnt bothered to invest time and just copy pastes the profiles here.

You are complaining about people who actually bothered having multiple 60 accounts / subs / bots and more than likely write their own profiles.

the hypocrisy that is a botter complaining about other botters.

Step up your game and actually try to bother making gil efficiently instead of bitching about why the bot you dump overnight isnt making as much as it used to. Go take a page from the above posters
and actually do shit that isnt just using the gathering bot / freeloading off of existing profiles.

tldr
Deal with it.

Im not even on gilg and this guy isnt even using writing his own profiles, he just bots things i do but spams it 10 times as much and the fact it's completely obvious. Good job being an arrogant dickweed. I already know how to make gil, this guy just makes it 10 times harder.

It isn't really botters, it is stupid people that are putting items on the MB and undercutting thinking they will sell more if they flood the market. They can flood all they want, and it wont bring up the demand for that product at all. We just have to deal with it and move to another product. There are a few things I have been able to get, even without botting (ie. Materia farming using airships), We just have to think outside the box and wait till those people give up selling on the MB and then we can move back to our old products for a short time...rinse and repeat.

I think becto got the gist of it. I see people over supplying markets all the time and consequently ruining them for a while. Its a problem of greed and people either not understanding or misjudging demand. when it happens you just gotta find something else to sell for a while. Bots might enable such people to do larger damage but ultimately I think its more of a player issue than a botting one.

As far as I can tell on my server, the majority of the market crashes aren't really done by botters, but as becto more or less said, by people who just don't have a clue about how to work a market board. Crafters watching dorks like Mithrie who pretty much show people how to crash a market, or a myriad of other reasons.. Kids that are just too young to really know, people out for a quick buck etc.

The duskborne issue also arose due to the demand for dawnborne sands going up due to relic. The supply went up so much and the demand is super low. All of it comes down to basic supply and demand. Unless there are enough botters to serve the whole server with everything that is needed, other items usually end up with less supply and you should try selling those items now. So basically what becto said.

thats how botting works...

Obviously, my post was complaining about people who bot like crazy and have no idea they hurting themselves by putting over 100 stacks of items on the mb and undercutting each day. You're only hurting yourself and others because your impatience.

people who bot like crazy vs people who bot (in a not so crazy manner?).

Both are contributing to the issue you are so fed up about. Since you are here, you must be one of us, this topic shouldn't even exist on the forums.

Honor among botters or no honor?

The crazy bot user you mentioned is probably legit full time RMT user/company. With that said, they won't even think to read this rant thread. Heck we don't even know if they are running RB among all the bots available out there. Hope is lost.

Variety is the key to profit and going undetected by the SE overlords.

Uh, no. Hes a regular player and i've seen him and talked with him before. Yes i do contribute to the problem but having 1 stack of items versus 100 stacks of an item on the marketboard is a huge difference. I know for a fact he runs reborn because he takes the same routes as someone who would have reborn.

If i have a stack of an item up for 10 gil and other regular players see my price they're going to undercut, I'll proceed to undercut and have the most stacks on the market with the lowest price. Mine are going to get all bought out. Supply and demand. No one is gonna buy the regulars if they just got theres for a lower price

If someone is trying to enter an already overly saturated market, they probably picked wrong.
If someone throws up 100 stacks of something on an otherwise stable market, they are going to crash it.

If you actually have time to play the longer game, then predict some market tendencies and stock up accordingly.. Even buying up things when they are cheap if you think they will skyrocket later

Whatever the motivation was for posting, This is likely not the right place to complain or get advice about the MB.

Supply was fine a month ago, there are just some people who don't realise undercutting your items when the demand is down is a smart idea.
"Why aren't my items selling? Is it because of the price? Lets lower it until it loses it's value"
