Hello fellow botters

I will look like a total noob by the end of this post, and I'm sure this has been asked plenty of times before, but I must ask it anyway.

I've just tried the trial version of DB and love it to bits. I've botted D2 almost every ladder since 2004, and now its time for D3. I don't intend to bot big, since I have no need to make money of this, rather gold and crazy loot for my main acc. The main acc is exactly what brings me to this thread. I really don't want to loose my collector's edition D3 :) I play my main on my gaming PC (and i did log into the bot acc a few times on there), and at the moment, I have the bot running on another (old) PC. However my old comp is very slow and the game lags pretty bad. I would much rather bot on the gaming PC :(

I know that the only fool proof way not to get banned is not to hack, and I don't give two shits if my botting accs get banned every sunday, as long as I don't loose my main. So hence, here is the question: How can I distance myself as much as possible from the botted account to preserve the innocence of the main? Using a virtual machine with a different IP? Creating a different user and reinstalling another client to bot on that? Any other precautions I can take?

All advise is appreciated.
