Hey guys I have spoken with a lawyer who may be interested in providing his services in a class action lawsuit against blizzard for taking fraudulant payments from players knowing full well they will not be providing the services for said payment. The thing is I need to know if people are willing to come forward and show that payments were taken the day before their ban was instated. I have been doing some research and asking around and have found out Blizzard is following a fradulant practise. They are waiting to ban accounts until the day after their next months payment is processed. The lawyer I spoke with insists this is fraud even if you are using a so called "bot" program. By entering in the lawsuit you will not be admiting to cheating you are only admiting your account was banned and a payment was taking the day before the ban was issued. If enough people come forward he will file the appropriate paperwork and is fairly certain we will win. His fee is 30% of the total sum if we win. he gets 0 if we lose.

Your no win no fee lawyer doesn't stand a chance against lawyers who specialize in copyright law or anything else they want, seeing how it's mostly (all) bullshit when we hear about users threatening lawsuits to sound big.

And there are so many other legal issues you have to get around that supersede your actual issue, you probably will never even make it to the actual topic.

This has nothing to do with copyright or TOS in any way. this has to do with blizzard taking a payment for a month of service then bannign them the very next day thus making taking the payment fraudulant since blizzard had no intent ion in providing the service to players they are banning. for eg. I had 2 accounts banned in different months both accounts were banned within 24 hrs of blizzard taking my payment and on both occasions I was not logged into wow the day before they took the payment. So they caught the botting before the payment was taken and had every opportunity to ban before the payment was taken. To help with revenue they opted to wait until the next payment was taken before banning the account. If your not interested thats fine. Im looking to see who may be interested thats all. My payments were fixed by my credit card company so I don't really care about the money. Id rather show gamers how greedy blizzard is and how they figure they can cheat people out of money yet people cant cheat in their game.

Under section 75 you can chargeback blizzard if you paid using a credit card for the months that you didn't receive, make sure to get a new credit card in case they tried to recharge your card. Call your Bank.

Also in some countries they'll help you sue for anything especially in a class action lawsuit, mostly USA.

I'm guessing you didn't speak to a real lawyer, since this is bone basic credit card consumer rights...

No everyone pays with a credit card, a lot of people play with game cards which are not refundable.

If I had a buck for every time I saw this crap come up I wouldn't have to bot to feed my pet chicken.
Seriously your lawyer has as much chance of winning as I do of winning the lottery even though I NEVER buy a ticket.

In life, you need to pick the right battles to fight. IMO, it's not worth wasting time and effort over $30 especially when you consider that the chances of you winning the case is astronomically low.

Everyone knows if you bot to take the chance of getting banned.

Get over it, move on and get some new accounts to bot with.

Also i am so supprised that so many people still pay real cash for this game when you bot.

I mean what the hell do you bot for if it is not to pay for your main acount or for the big players for making money

You're going to have to prove that they knew they were going to ban you the next day. You simply cannot do that.

Well all I am trying to do is find out interest by the looks of it people don't mind being taken advantage of by large corporations. This is fine as this is your opinion and your entitled to it. This wasnt as much about the money as it was people standing up for themselves against a company who says u cant cheat in a game but goes and cheats people out of money. I can see this is going to go no where so Ill tell the lawyer its not going to work as there is no real interest from the people being ripped off. Happy Botting** For Now...

You have no grounds for a case, you broke the rules of the TOS. You agreed for $14.99 a month, you will play their game on their server with out the use of a 3rd party program to aid you. You used said 3rd party program. YOU are the reason you aren't playing anymore, not them. Please take your feelings of Entitlement some place else.
