Possible bot detection (GM claimed)

I got banned today, 3 accounts (2x perma + 1x 72 hours)

7)How many auctions per day did you have?: 0
8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? No
9)Was your account involved in gold selling? Yes, but only little amounts
10)EU or US realm? EU
11)Is the banned account a Scroll of Resurrection or an actual paid account? No

I wrote an appeal and claimed that I certainly don't use any 3rd party programs, but GM wrote me this:

My name is Game Master Sadoryann, and I did the Review on your appeal in regards with your account suspension.
And going over the logs again I can see that you were using a 3rd party program to automate your characters - CharacterName - actions and movement.
Still using such programs is a serious offence against the Terms of Use, such is your case this suspension will not be overturned, ever.

And my question is: Did that GM lie or they can actually detect the bot?
I used randomBuddy plugin, so there were no patterns in flying of my bot.
They also banned me an account where I sell crafted goods and even my main account got 72h ban although it has nothing to do with botting or selling. Any thoughts?

I still say that they have upped their game and ARE reading the windows processes in task manager by using a WMI script. Its the only legal way of them doing it.

When he said he can see you where using a 3rd party program does not mean he detected it, it just probably means he checked the lcp and or watched you. He said he went over the logs, he wouldnt have to do that if it was detected he wouldn't waste his time. Lets face it, a bot is very easy to see for the trained eye.

The bot is detectable. End of story. It's in the terms of service that Blizz is allowed to scan your running processes OUTSIDE of world of warcraft while WOW is running. HB is a running in plain sight. Not only can they check your processes, but also look at your HD serial number, check your IP address and your OS. You agreed to allow them to do this when you installed the game and you agree after every major patch when they force you to click 'I agree' to the TOS and EULA before you are able to login to the game.

To all the know-it-all geniuses who will say (*Thirsten Howell III voice*) "Well if it were detectable, they would just shut every account down as soon as they checked". Not true. Does a cop pull EVERY speeder over? No. Do they ticket EVERY jaywalker? No. In the case of WOW, they go after the most egregious offenders really hard. Look at the ban reports. They are full of hard core farmers (*Lost 8/8 accounts today. Any chance i can appeal?" ROFL). You'll see people here and there being banned for leveling or BGBuddy or dungeonbuddy, but they are almost ALL farmers. Why? Farming is probably the most harmful thing the bot does (exploiting the economy, selling gold, etc). Leveling is like speeding wile farming is like armed robbery. The cops WILL go after you for that crap. So, they let the minor botters get away with the minor stuff. Why, you ask? Subs. They'd lose a ton of cash if they got rid of ALL the botters. Also, killing farming accounts will MUCH more likely result in those people buying more accounts to keep farming which results in more ca$h for blizz.

If you're pulled over by a cop it is against the law for them to search your car. But if they ask you if they can and you agree, it is TOTALLY within their right to do so. It's very, very simple. If you grab a girls boobs out on the street, you go to jail for sexual assault. If you ask her first and she says yes, you get to cop a feel and it's alright. Again, blizz said they would be checking your computer if they wanted to and you ALL said ok. All you folks saying crap like "GB2 is detected" are only partially right. What's detected is Honorbuddy and the reason you got whacked was you're doing one of the worst kinds of botting there is.

Why do you think your beloved bossland people don't and will NEVER make an arena bot? It's because that would be even worse than farming and that would probably be enough to shut honorbuddy down for good.

Legal? are you retarded? there has been enough direct quotes from the ToA that we accept upon logging into WoW that Blizzard can only scan the WoW Process within our computer, not outside of it, this is to check for bots and hacks that use injection methods but as Honorbuddy does not inject anything it will not be found. On another note Blizzard used to be able to scan our whole computer for processes we may be running but this is no more and that was back in Classic mainly overhauled because it was a invasion of privacy. Finally if Blizzard was to do this it would be illegal, it would be a invasion of privacy hence if they can detect Honorbuddy like you think they can also see other things such us: Skype, Chrome etc. this would be a breach in Blizzard's ToA and anyone would be able to open a lawsuit against Blizzard. To sum everything I just said up yes Blizzard may have stepped up their game and started monitoring us more but they can do nothing else then that, if they decide to go further into monitoring us via our running Processes its a offence.

THE FACT THAT YOU AGREE TO ALLOW BLIZZARD TO SCAN YOUR PROCESSES OUTSIDE OF WOW BY AGREEING TO THE TOS AND EULA MAKES IT LEGAL. My GOD. Once again, if you are pulled over in your car by the police it is illegal for them to search the car. Unless you say it's okay. Then it's legal. By agreeing to the TOS you make it legal for BLIZZ to scan your computer. Honorbuddy is running in plain sight. Since BLIZZ may scan your computer and HB is running in plain sight, then HB is detectable. DUH!

And what do you mean they can't do it anymore, it was back in classic? The current TOS gives them the right to scan your whole computer.
