Poll: 32-bit or 64-bit Windows?

Curious if HB was detected on x86 systems running x86 clients or only on x64 systems...

Please be honest if you are going to do the poll.

How can I tell if my computer is running a 32-bit or a 64-bit version of Windows?
To find out if your computer is running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows in Windows 7 or Windows Vista, do the following:

Open System by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, right-clicking Computer, and then clicking Properties.

Under System, you can view the system type.

If your computer is running Windows XP, do the following:

Click Start.

Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.

If you don't see "x64 Edition" listed, then you're running the 32-bit version of Windows XP.

If "x64 Edition" is listed under System, you're running the 64-bit version of Windows XP.

Returned yesterday after 3 months of break were tripwire was already active = 0/3 banned. Before mainly used Enyo without automatic movement.

Honor Buddy is only written for 32 bit why have a poll for that. You will be only banned for 32 bit since there is no 64 bit version of the bot... Though I have 64 bit system like the majority it seems;D

He's trying to figure out if that's one way Blizzard may tag an account - because you're running 32-bit client on a 64-bit system. He's not asking if anyone was running 64-bit client.....

Whoops voted wrong. I used the x86 client because Thats all that was available obviously and used x64 windows like probably 99% of the gamers. You should reword that. People will see "client" and assume wow client not "client pc"

Irrelevant regardless. X86 was detected - x64 was not.

That's been established as a major risk for awhile. Just no one chose to do anything about it and everyone still found the rewards > risk. Almost finished combing the forums. When I'm done - I'm done. Scary!

Bad phrasing from my part, but I guess if people were to read my post on how to know which windows you're running I'd guess you could add 1 + 1 together and get 2. But maybe not since people are retards.

there is no x64 honorbuddy, ofc it wasnt detected. and once again, there are still 32b bots running out there.

come back when you have some supporting evidence.

@Macatho anyone running 64b os would know immediately. for all the bs you have to go through to get 32b to load.
update wow through launcher
close launcher
rename wow-64.exe
start wow using the wow.exe icon.

and polling a small percentage of the user base will most likely result in invalid data.

You wanna know what OS I used or WoW client? If the poll is about OS you should replace "client" with "system" in the answers . A little bit confusing though you can't use 64bit client while botting.

and you should allow for multiple entries, for those of us who had only half our team banned.

if thats even possible, ive never made a poll here

You think auto movement was the big culprit here?

i dont think he was blaming afk botting specifically. i think it was more a case of including some gameplay data to add to our group knowledge of how the bans may have come around.

quite a lot of us were not hit wonder which wave they will get us with lol? saving us for round 2...

Yeah was a stupid idea anyways.

I actually liked this poll was nice to see the percentages on 32 bit and 64 bit, it's kinda sad how many people use 32 bit, won't see a 64 bit honor buddy anytime soon sadly:(

Supporting evidence like common sense? Yea - not so common. Supporting evidence like the numerous posts showing that 32 bit detection was put in place and known about for awhile? Supporting evidence that some of the members of some of the small Time bots made it out? Or supporting evidence like ALL x64 are uncompromised and pointing their finger here.

X86 made blizzwrds job that much easier

Don't be mad bro - it is what it is. I was lulled into a false sense of complacency as was everyone. Bossland was warned and refused to make adjustments.

Care to wager on the next client being x64?

Sure we will. If they intend to continue anyhow. Google wow 32 bit detection for me.

Bossland made the mistake once, you think they'd make it a second time? They know it was a red flag it just wasn't worth their time and effort for whatever reason. Now you can bet your arse it is.

I was using a 32bit virtual machine of Windows 10, so 32bit wow client only. (I play on Mac)

You know there is an option in the Battle.net launcher to run wow in 32bit ?

64bit would be harder to detect yes, and it would be incredible hard to hook safely into too. Because they cant use any prior offsets etc etc from the 32bit client. And when they have a 64bit, the race starts over just this time its more complex. Prolly the reason why they didnt want to create a 64bit or havent done it yet.

But yeah I do hope they make a 64bit client this time, but then the 32bit would prolly disappear.
