Yes, PF will safely work until they force the .53 version as minimum (when the phone app says you cannot continue without being on the latest)

Read today, that Niantic forced .53 and advises to stop using bots or maps.

@everyone .53 has been forced by Niantic. As always, we recommend to stop scanning until any API has been updated. (Yes, this affects the BossLand Hashing as well. They will likely update soon.)

For clarification, this does not necessarily mean Niantic is not accepting old responses. It simply means all the legit clients are forced to use .53, meaning it is easy for niantic to flag you.
