Hi Guys,
Long time botter since 2010. I wish to impart some wisdom on the fresh wave of newbie botters who seem to be coming through the land of bots with miss-placed expectations.
Botting comes with it, an inherit risk of being banned. Its just the way it is when it comes to botting. Don't blame the tools (PokeFarmer) but blame yourself for not being wise enough to understand how the bot works and taking the necessary steps to minimize your pokebutt exposure to the Ninantic butthurters.
Its your responsibility to manage your risk with the bot. Here are some tips to help minimize your risk:
The guys behind Pokefarmer have been absolutely awesome. They have been responsive and have been updating the botting on a regular basis.
Happy Botting,
Metal

Botting comes with it, an inherit risk of being banned. Its just the way it is when it comes to botting. Don't blame the tools (PokeFarmer) but blame yourself for not being wise enough to understand how the bot works and taking the necessary steps to minimize your pokebutt exposure to the Ninantic butthurters.
Its your responsibility to manage your risk with the bot. Here are some tips to help minimize your risk:
- Never bot unattended.
- Don't level more than once between logging in on your phone. The Pokefarmer API can't click on things that would normally pop up on the screen for the player for example the 'going too fast' prompt or leveling up, because the PokeFarmer app interacts directly with servers. It might be able to in a later patch but for now it's like a remote control app.
- Run the bot at a speed you think is realistic. Traveling at +50km/h between pokestops? ... ... that is stupid. It would take you 30+ meters to come to a stop. Granted GPS doesn't accurately pinpoint speed but I'm sure the Ninantic servers can pick up on patterns which leads me to my next point.
- Be random and don't bot for hours on end. In fact don't run the bot more than 2-4 Hrs continuously... 8 hours in 2 hour blocks would work.
- Allow ample time between opening the app on your phone to opening the PokeFarmer application... seriously... people bot and the Pokefarmer ends up kilometres away and as soon as they close the pokefarmer app they open up the app on their phone... its the equivalent of teleporting and I think a lot of people are forgetting this... It works both ways. If you just closed your phone app... either set the location on PokeFarmer to where your phone was or wait a realistic amount of time before starting the app.
- Spend some dust every now and then. Play the game normally. As you get higher 25+ levels slow down your botting. Ninantic seem to be sniping/banning high level players.
- Never bot on your main account. Or if you do do it the safest way you can.
- I've botted up multiple accounts. I don't bot below level 18 it's just too damn easy to get more than one level before you log in to collect your items.
