I had a bit of problems as well but it eventually started working
- uninstalled any previous version of HB 1,2 or 3
- disabled all buddy store products
- installed latest HB v3.x

Then I did a bit of questing myself and moved over to the bot after a few quests and it picked up from there and continued. Quested to 104 so far. A few times, it required manual intervention to pickup or complete a quest or two manually. But otherwise it works surprisingly well. No 3rd party plugins or combat routines. Just the plain bot and the quest pack.
