[Plugin - Prof] Ringo Profession Trainer

This plugin works similar to flight points.

If you are within a hundred yards or so of a profession trainer, and you have that profession, and it needs training, it will go and train it.

Currently only supports Herbalism, Skinning, and Mining, more will follow.

HB2.0.0.3449 should work, but it's untested.

UPDATED VERSION THAT SHOULD BE ABLE TO WORK FROM ANYWHERE, RATHER THAN JUST IN THE 100YD RANGE SHOULD BE OUT ON CHRISTMAS DAY AUSTRALIAN TIME. STAY TUNED FOR UPDATES IN THIS THREAD. I've had some issues IRL, so this is unlikely to make it out by tomorrow. Should be in the next week.

Current limitations with HB are restricting that - I'm working on it, but it's crashing like no tomorrow, patience will pay off.

Basically, I can only narrow down an NPC to being a "Profession Trainer", rather than a "Skinning/Herbalism/Mining/Whatever Trainer" with the HB API at the moment.

I can't see any reason why not - all my toons are fully leveled, so I can't really test it. Give it a go, and if it doesn't work, post a log.

Actully, I'll have to update the small database in the plugin - it should still work in Outlands and Northrend, but you might have issues in the old world.

Would it be possible to force travel to the nearest trainer once you max a skill level instead of the training only when you are within 100 yrds of the trainer?

Yeah, that would be quite handy while botting over night and such. It's not a requirement or anything, but more so just a nifty upgrade to an already handy plugin. :)

You (and Zeldrak) need to have a bit of a read of the thread.

I explained why that didn't happen in the fifth post in this thread. I am working on it, however I will not be able to implement this on Alliance trainers. Basically, I need to have my own database of trainers built into the plugin, with locations, factions etc in it. All I can get Honorbuddy to return is that an NPC is a profession trainer, not a specific type of profession trainer. I don't play alliance, and I'm not going to roll an alliance toon, just to level it, just to write this plugin for something I won't use. That being said, once I get the database sorted for Horde, I MAY write a quick plugin that collects the data I need, and get someone who does play Alliance to go for a run around the world for me.

I also work full time, meaning that until my Christmas break (starting on Friday, Australian time), I am not going to be doing any work on this. After that, I will post an anticipated release date for and updated version of this (and RingoLog).

Hey pbettell --

I already read the thread before posting that. I understand that things take time, and that patience is needed. I guess my post wasn't as clear to you as it was to me, and that's my fault. I was only saying that that would be a nice addition to your already handy, and useful, plugin. I wasn't trying to be disrespectful or downputting to your plugin. I can also understand that developers get annoyed and short-tempered at people for asking the same question over and over without reading. But, like I said, I read the whole thread before posting and I wasn't asking or demanding you do anything to the plugin. I was more so just using an already mentioned statement and saying that that would be a neat addition, but it wasn't a requirement, because the plugin is already functional and handy as is. Oh, and not trying to pick fights either. Just explaining myself and apologizing for seeming to ask annoying things of the OP.

I've just started my Christmas break period from work. I have 4 weeks off, in that time, I'm going to update all my plugins and add new features (and possibly a new plugin, but we'll see). First day will be drunk (that's today), but after that, I'll be into it.

Because I like Christmas, I think I will set a release date for the new versions of RingoLog, and RingoProfessionTrain to be Christmas Day, Australian Time.

Standby for more.
