[Plugin] GildaStarryStars - Blue Salt Brotherhood daily quests

Not much to say, this plugin runs your Blue Salt Brotherhood dailies to get you Gilda Stars!

Plugin got quite more stable now, but still a few issues and it's recommended to keep an eye on it the first time you run it (or first time you try out a new recall/teleport config, to make sure it doesn't screw up.
A few important things:
  • I haven't been able to have the plugin pick the quest past the first run and have no idea why. If this happens to you to, the only way to do it is to pick the quests (and do perfume stuff to pick up the 5th) yourself before relaunching the plugin

West Issues
  • Default path has some areas that really need some work to smooth it out
  • Need to test teleports to confirm that they work for all steps
East Issues
  • There might be issues dropping the third vase, need more feedback to find out
  • Bot won't return to Austera after raising the second mount, either set it to recall/teleport or do it manually
  • Need to test teleports to confirm that they work for all steps

How-To:
  • Download last version and extract the ZIP archive in AB's plugin folder
  • Open Gilda.cs in AB's plugin editor and change the values between SETTINGS START and SETTINGS END (instructions are in comments to help you)
  • Compile the plugin
  • (Optional) Create your own custom route (see below)
  • Run it once a day!

Creating your own path file with GPS Editor:

Don't know how to get started with GPS Editor? Check this tutorial

You just need to have 7 points with the following names, all connected to each other (and eventually the recall/teleport locations you plan to use). Name it path-west.db3 for west continent routes (and path-east.db3 for east side once full support is in) and save it in the plugin's folder.
This is also the order the bot will run the objectives (except for east side where VaseFog & VaseWind are swapped), to help you make an optimal path.
  • NPC: Make it close to the quest NPCs in Marianople/Ezna/Seachild Wharf or Austera/Lutesong Harbor/Caernord
  • ItemsPickup: Place it inbetween a few powder keg spawns at Roadsend Post in Dewstone Plains or Palace Cellar in Mahadevi (plugin will pick up those within 10m of that waypoint)
  • VaseWind: Near the area where you drop Wind-scented vases in Lilyut Hills South / Tigerspine South
  • VaseDawn: Near the area where you drop Dawn-scented vases in Lilyut Hills East / Tigerspine East
  • VaseFog: Near the area where you drop Fog-scented vases in Lilyut Hills West / Tigerspine North
  • StableMount1: In the public stable in Gweonid Forest/Arcum Iris (near the entrance of the stable/well)
  • StableMount2: In the public stable in Solzreed Peninsula/Falcorth Plains (again, near the entrance of the stable/well)

- You can now leave the mount name setting empty to autodetect it (will select highest level mount)

- Started adding support for auto-detecting mount (not functional yet, need to sort out a few things)
- Tweaked code a bit for vases/mounts a bit to make it more reliable
- All quest pickups/turnins should correctly check for success to print useful error messages when they fail

- Picking up powder kegs/grinding stuff into perfume will be more reliable (and less spammy in the log)

Only thing its missing is teleporting around instead of running.. Great work

My biggest issue at the moment is figuring why ArcheBuddy returns a "QuestAlreadyDone" error on StartQuest() when I try to pick up the quests on a new day, it makes it a bit less afk-friendly if I have to still be paying attention when the bot makes it to Marianople to pick up for quests for it :mad:

Support for teleport/recall shouldn't take long, at least for a first version with a few teleports available (with some setting to change before compiling to enable/disable). What might take a bit longer is making the whole thing really configurable (to let you choose the exact order of quest objectives and if the bot should run/teleport/recall to get there)
 
Had a look at east quests, looks like I'll be able to make it work there without many issues (with quite a few parts being exactly the same) and I assume I'll be able to rely on you guys for the actual testing. So it's mostly about me creating an eastern char to collect IDs and make a default path for the east continent.

As for when, I'll look into it once I added the teleport/recall support (easiest things to test get the priority!)
 
If you want some help on the east part, you can just contact me, never did a code, but actually i understand something :)
 
If you're already running the dailies, I could send you a small dumper plugin for you to collect some IDs and a few other things. Then the only missing part would be a path file for the east continent.

I can't get it to run after compiling. It keeps giving me this error. I'm standing almost on top of the Quest NPCs.

Troubles while load gps base.
Moving to Marianople to pick up quests
ERROR: Your path.db3 file does not have a 'NPC' waypoint

The path file, the dll, and the cs file are all inside the folder.

Seems like there is an issue with the path.db3 file and AB can't load it at all. Not sure what can cause that, maybe try downloading the ZIP file again, incase it got corrupted (which shouldn't happen but who knows)

And might have a version with early support for recall/teleports in a bit, if test run goes well. If not it will be tomorrow most likely

Well its not that because I can open the path file in the GPS editor and look at your pathing.
 
Really hope you can get the east side working aswell!

Also be sure to put it in the shop when you think its ready :D i will gladly pay for this to help its development
 
Not satisfied yet with the way it handles teleports, so will keep testing a bit more (but should release a test version after next daily test run later today. With also some extra checks to maybe figure out what's wrong with some GPS issue mentionned in the thread)

In the meantime I was able to start modifying my code to support east continent, and DroMark was helpful in collecting a few IDs. If you want to help there are 3 things missing still to make east dailies possible:
- A GPS path connecting all the locations together
- The name of the closest portal to quest NPCs
- The coords of 5 rectangles for the 2 mounts and 3 vases: for each one it must be the SW/NE coords (archebuddy shows them in the character widget, can copy/paste easily with the XY button) of an area where the mounts/vases can be placed without any obstacle inside it.

I'll be able to do it myself eventually, but if someone wants to pitch in it would be very appreciated ;)

Also, I'll be changing the names of the waypoints from next version so it makes more sense with east-support incoming, so if you made a custom map, you'll have to edit it quickly before being able to use it.

It's still possible that the bot will open a portal and then not use it, please tell me if that happens for you. Bot also doesn't check yet that your recall is where it needs to go before using it, so keep that in mind when changing settings.
 
great to see your still working on it! have been waiting for a plugin for this for ages
Hope you can get east working sometime :) no rush tho
