From the forums ive gleaned that hooking of DLL's are not permitted.

I presume the same would go for hooking other .net library modules ?

Im talking specifically of hooking Meebey.SmartIrc4net ( http://smartirc4net.meebey.net ).

If i cannot make use of this what suggestions are there for irc comms? Dumping the stuff to a file and having something else pick it up and act on it ?

hooking and using are two things,and using external libs isn't possible currently...
tho you could write an external application that reads stuff from HB....^^
