Plugin Coding Help

I am looking for some source to start trying to code a plugin. I have not found much of anything on the Wiki page as a lot of it has (tbd) next to it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. A sample template would be double awesome! I want to try and add back to the community

ZenLulz offers excellent advice. CodenameG's guide was written for CombatRoutine writing, but 90% of it is also appropriate for Plugin writing.

To get started with a plugin, I'd find a minimalist plugin and study it. [Plugin] Keep WoW's 8th Anniversary buff online! is such an example. Start to finish, its less than 70 lines of code.
