Ok this is my first Honorbuddy plugin and the codes probably sloppy non efficient.
Feel free to give me pointers and idea's.

BuddyGrowl connects to Growl For Windows and provides real-time chat events to your IPhone/Android or another PC.

Currently as i said the only thing supported is chat events. Give some feedback with what you would like and i will attempt to implement it.

  1. Download and install Growl for Windows and set this up with the platform you'll be sending to. Example: mine is "Notify My Andriod" Iphone is growl
    Guides to setup the forwarding are here

    NMA
  2. Then extract the attached zip file to a folder called "BuddyGrowl" place this in your plugins folder.

    When you have Honorbuddy Running Make sure you set the path to "Growl for Windows in the settings"


Make sure you have Growl for Windows installed and setup to forward to your device and hey presto mobile messages.

Working Features

  • Chat events with Settings Filter.
  • Death and Disconnect Events
  • Growl Event is fired if your name is mentioned.
  • BattleNet Chat is now sent.
  • Supports guild invite on trigger.

Todo

  • Add Bnet support.


Known Bugs/Issues

  • Dungeon Leader is not included in party chat.

This looks like an awesome plugin! Unfortunately, I can't get it working. Here's what happened:

  1. Setup Growl/Prowl successfully
  2. Downloaded the linked exe/com files from the Growl site
  3. Ran that exe, nothing happened
  4. Checked out your plugin/exe via SVN to my plugins folder
  5. Started Honorbuddy
  6. HB wouldn't run (edit: seems HB is down).
I'd love to get this working and have a few questions:

  1. What is supposed to happen with the exe/com files from the Growl site?
  2. What am I supposed to do with the exe from your SVN?
  3. Any ideas why HB can't launch with your plugin installed? (Removing the plugin allows HB to run without problems).
Thanks for your hard work on this and I look forward to hearing back from you.

The only one your ment to run yourself is the growl for windows exe the second exe you download from there site goes in the svn folder. though currently it seems I left it in the svn so you wont have to do that.

Awesome! If you could also add the option to exclude Guild and BG chat that would be great.

P.S. I've attached no-longer working BuddyProwl by Wuzzery. This worked similarly to yours, except it used the no-longer maintained Notifo, but it also had options to enable/disable all chat types, epic loot, player deaths, etc. Hopefully some of this code can be useful to you in updating BuddyGrowl.

doesnt work for me,
it doenst send msg to growl, so i cant recieve msg to my iphone

any solutions?!^^

Is it possible to add a settingsto disable Guildchat? there is a lots of talking at mine so it spamms a lot.
OR make it only notify when character names is said or some aliases like the old pushnotify plugin., that would be awsome :D

Try the newest release guys hopefully the settings work LOL just remember to click save.
 
Little stuck, it shows it sending the message in honorbuddy, growl is connected to notify my android, but nothing gets sent, any ideas? Thanks
 
Hi Jimmy - thanks for the chat options! Any chance that clicking Save could close the settings?

Also, the plugin isn't working with the latest HB release .483.

I cant currently get authed to HB when i can ill give it a looking into lol.

Double check that the growl exe has been placed in the folder. I removed it from the SVN there for it would have deleted it from the plugins folder.
