So im not 100% sure this is where i should post this but i didnt find a tech. fourm.
so im new to HB just signed up, and im going to be a noob asking this question, but my HB is giving me this error "The HTTP connection failed! Are you sure you are connected to the internet?" but i am clearly connected to the internet i have wow running and im surfing it. I tried turning off my firewall and connecting but it still gives me that error what so i do?

ok i was able to log onto the link ski had. So i will have to go log onto main computer as i am running wirelessly.

Wireless or wired wouldn't matter. The issue would either be on the PC itself (firewall, antivirus), or on your router (firewall).

He stated that the firewall was not the problem, and idk of any antivirus that prevents internet, they would just remove it. Gotta be router.

it has to be my router cause i also disabled my anti-virus. i will have to look around to see how to fix my router

do you know how to log into you router most have similar i.p try typing 192.168.x.x the two x's are normal a combo of 1 or 0 some times i have seen a 2 in there but rare from there you can get to your routers home page and comfigure it to log into your router as most are default
Username: Admin
Pasword: password
these may be case sensitive so you may need to try a few
hope this helps could tell you more if i knew what router your using

I would think router is very unlikely, unless it was restricting on a process level. HB uses standard http/s ports, which I doubt are being blocked. Its always possible though if he's on a corporate or school network or something.

no im on a home network. I was wondering and this might be the easiest fix for me, does anyone know the port number that HB uses??

there is a hole bug report thread without a single log on it
post your full log as attachment

Its unlikely to be the router, it has to be your system.

as the https and the bot do use the same port, the ssl port

huh well i will mess with it and if i figure it out i will post results on here how to fix it

wow that worked i cant thanks you enough. if there is anything that i can do to repay u let me know i owe you a solid favor thanks.
As well as everyone else that had ideas to try and fix it i would like to thanks you as well, for me just getting HB 2 days ago and the community being this helpful is very impressive to me thanks
