Hi. Are you ready for next patch?

I just want to know how to setup for simple follower.

My questions are, One thing i know is that I need to buy more DB serial numbers :)

1. Do I need at least more than 2 PC ?

2. Do I need muti battle net accounts ? (it should be, i think)

3. how to setup for leader (trinity setting, plugin ...) and the followers(trinity setting, plugin ...)

4. Is it really gives us good results?

Hope you get good gears !

Thank you!

1. No, search the forum or google for info in regards to multi boxing
2. Yes
3. Doubt that there is any meaningful difference in settings
4. Mileage may vary

Most of these questions would have been answered by browsing the forum so for more in-depth info you should use the search function of the forum.

Have you already read through the Simpler Follow thread? Lots of good information there. Yes, I know it's over 100 pages, but you will likely find most of your answers are already available. It will be faster than posting a thread and waiting for a response.

1a) Multiboxing alleviates the need to use multiple PCs by opening different instances on one PC. There are many ways to multibox. As vuwrr said, hit up google for a slew of videos and information.
1b) Current SimpleFollow thread states that it's been tested/stable with 4 bots. Most mid-range to high end computers will handle 4 instances of DB and game running simultaneously.
.......Summary: No

2) You will be required to have a separate account for each instance of the game you wish to run. Again, your PC's hardware will determine how many instances you can run at once.

3)
Instructions:

Pre-requisites:

  • Latest version of Demonbuddy or DemonbuddyBETA
  • Make sure the leader bot has ONLY 3 friends - NO MORE than 3 friends
  • These 3 friends will need to be your follower bots
  • The leader bot will use the BNet "Social Window" to invite the follower bots, by clicking the invite button like a human would
  • The leader bot should have the slowest movement speed in the group, otherwise it will run faster than follower bots
  • The leader bot should also be the strongest with the least possability of death, have most Vitality/Armor/Resistances. A leader death will slow all bots down considerably.
  • You can use any class as leaders/followers. Play with various combinations and class specs to get best results.

Leader bot setup:

  • Enable SimpleFollow
  • Load your profile of choice
  • If running multiple bot teams: Configure Leader/Server TCP port in Plugins window > SimpleFollow config
  • Start bot

Having Leader stay in Party:
Open the profile you're using in a text editor
Find the line:

Code:
<LeaveGame reason="Some Reason" />
Replace it with:
Code:
<LeaveGame reason="Some Reason" stayInParty="True" />

Follower bot:

  • Enable SimpleFollow Plugin
  • Load SimpleFollow.xml as your profile (or SimpleFollow_Relogger.xml if using YAR)
  • Start bot

4) There have been some reported issues. Ironically for every 10 "This is broken" replies in most threads, you usually find one like this:
The workaround was perfect, I ran three bots in the same party all night! Thanks for the info, now I can use it till we get an actual fix.
