I was wondering if it would help if the bot was using a remote access protocol and if it would be a reasonable addition to the bot. If they couldn't tell the difference between DB and a remote desktop app it might be harder to detect.

Last time I checked, they CANNOT detect the Demonbuddy. What is the point?

Diablo and World of Warcraft don't scan outside of their own address space, theres no way for them to tell your using the bot, and there's even less of a chance of them to know your using VNC or Remote Desktop to view your session.

Ya hes right on this. Could they scan outside of the game ? Sure would they ? No it opens the door on privacy violations and other things blizzard would not want. People say they hate US laws because they protect big corporations well US and EU laws also protect our privacy and are probably the only reason blizzard doesn't do this. Personally if I were them I would do it and I would make the courts decide if its legal for them to do it or not its a risk, but wow makes so much $ no judgement against them would matter. I honestly see both sides of the argument.

thanks for the informative replies, gives me more confidence in demonbuddy to have a bit of technical information about why it's safe.
