PGO updates again! *groan*

so then, now I'm curious.. if PGO updates and our devs begun busting their balls to patch 'farmer, then during this process PGO updates again, is all their progress lost whereupon they must restart their efforts to patch to the new 0.75.0? do they need to finish the patch they were working on before they can patch to the new patch? or were they waiting for a second patch to drop before finishing their patch? Seems like niantic likes to drop a second 'clean-up' patch after each major patch..
once more I cite my lack of coding knowledge for such a query. ^_^
 
Yes, but not just any update - the forced ones. The PGO servers have a minimum allowed version, and when they push that up, that's when the PGAPI needs to be reviewed/updated/etc. So if they updated some crashing issue or some graphics and push out 0.75.1 but leave the minimum API as-is, work will not be lost.
 
One can in threory fix the old apis and then impliment changes to the newer ones for a bigger update. This could also in theory allow us to track whats been changing, and help identify things later on. Its a step by step ladder progression, but some times the ladder takes us sideways instead of up right away.
 
Well Ill be a monkey's uncle.. Thank you both. I wish niantic would layoff their monkey business. I bet most of their staff are just monkey-see monkey-do(ing) their work anyway. so essentially 0.75.0 was like a monkey wrench in the dev's work switching them from a ladder to monkey bars. Granted while the bot's down the proverbial monkey is on my back to start botting again but once it's back up I'll be having more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

I actually received one extra day. A bonus for the hassle I suppose?
Also, another update. T_T thankfully its a small one.
 
I'm curious again.. if this is a minor update and we can still play on our phones with 0.75.0, does the bot really need to be turned off?
 
When was last pogo update ?? I bought the services today and it's awaiting update to new version? Just wondering how much longer until i can use it?
 
last update came on the 5th, only a bugfix so it should be back sooner rather than later. plus since you can't use the bot yet the countdown timer on your purchase hasn't started. d(-_o)
 
gonna have to admin its starting to piss me off with all these updates...

I must agree with this. Downtime is thoroughly counter-productive to progress and sales, both. Additionally I find myself continuously perplexed by the system's requirement to maintain its offline status whilst awaiting an api update over a meer bug fix patch~
 
I just got update notification 0.77.1 is that another one since Thursday? Or did I get a delayed notification?
 
Is that the version at bottom right?

it is, strangely. I'm still running 0.75.1 on my android with no option in the playstore to update. I think the problem is on my end though.

e\ interestingly enough there is no update stating pgo was updated to 0.75.1.. perhaps if you took the 0.75.1 patch, the system doesn't recognize the 0.77.1 patch as they're the same in all but numerical title?
