recently PF would freeze on an action as soon as 5 min after started
It can be a "walking to pokemon", "waiting a while before catching", "Recycling items", etc on the status bar.
but then it will just stay like that forever. (Not stopped or IDLE)

I have unchecked stop randomly at pokestop and even tried a fresh install and disabled my AV.
Both Pokemon and items are not full.
I have no idea why this is happening and the logs look normal.

What are your pokemon transfer settings. Try resetting that to default

Same here

The Problem starts a few days ago for no reason and I thought the update will solve the problem.... but no.

I reinstall, restarted and change most setting to default but no use.

I have to go and kill session every time and it basically make the Pokefarmer unusable.

Same here , new install default setting , I use windows server 2012

do you have another computer that you can run PF on. Try it there and let me know

I tried it on a freshly install Win10 VM and it is still the same.
The worst case I got now is stuck in Wait after recycling 3 types of item right after start.

I try win 8 , works fine now, but that win server 2012 is what I used for PF for long month , worked fine before

Problem still persist, but I observed several cases of PF trying to catch a pokemon, it shows "Straight ball and Nice-Hit!" (or similar), then it seems to not getting any reply from the server. No escape or fled, then them PF status shows "wait", "wait(###)" or "Waiting for a moment before catching again" and hold there forever.
Is there anything else that can help identifying the problem?

Had another case of starting PF and it loot 1 pokestop successfully and as soon as it shows Looting (the 2nd pokestop)
it shows "wait" and nothing happen again.

I am starting to feel that either server did not reply or it has replied with something PF doesn't know how to response.
Is there a timeout built in PF which will skip the action if no reply is returned?

I think I have found the cause, it is my internet connection. PF was working fine for months but now it seems that my 500MB connection is somehow interfering with PF's.
I use my 4G tether and PF can run for hours without any problem.
Already tried resetting the modem and router, even did a factory reset but the problem still persist.
Got no idea why this is happening :(

Have you checked on your phone recently for a possible hidden captcha? Some people are reporting that as being a "thing" now

Since PF hasn't been working for me lately, I have been playing a lot more on my iPhone. Not a single captcha seen at all.
I wonder if there is anything to do with my IP.

My ISP seems to be giving me the same range of IP on a couple of model and router restart. I can play normally on my iPhone within that network.
I have tried bypassing my router and connect directly to the modem and the problem is still there.
I also tried another LAN port on my mother board.

I don't understand why this is happening, I thought if PF got some sort of connection problem or encounter unknown response, it should tell me in the log instead of doing nothing.

With the info from this other thread (https://www.thebuddyforum.com/pokef...-support/296475-166554-pokefarmer-freeze.html)
I am now 90% sure that is culprit is my internet connection (especially my ISP)
It's not that I have a bad one, instead I have a 500Mb connection and all my other network activity are speedy and stable.
This problem started from a about a week ago without any reason.
Let me recap what I have done to try solving it but with no effect:
- Re-download PF for fresh install and default settings
- Disable AV
- Install PF on freshly installed Win 10 VM
- Install PF on freshly installed Win 10 on my old notebook
- Restarting my router, modem and PC
- Reset my router to factory settings
- Bypass my router and connect directly to my modem

Things that makes PF works normally again:
- Using my 4G mobile tethering
- Using a VPN connection

Now I would like to know why PF would behave in such way, instead of showing error it just stuck in the same action.
I am not sure how PF works in the sense of how the commands are routed between my computer, Buddy server and Niantic.
Can the devs enlighten me on this and help me solve this once and for all?
I would suggest a debug build which shows more than the standard log so I can find the actual problem.
