PF Not Responding..Black square in middle of screen??

PF worked fine Sunday morning, but in the evening it seemed to be stuck loading with a black square where the map normally loads and then says Not Responding at the top. I suspected some update on my laptop occurred during the afternoon and have gone through my laptop (Dell xps running windows 7) & searched the Forums. Everything is up to date (Windows, Java, etc). I do have Bitdefender but PF is in the exceptions and it ran fine before. Thanks in advance for help.

what was the most recent update you did to the computer? do you have a systems checkpoint can you roll it back?

Just in case bitdefender updated, can you also try to run it with bitdefender off for a moment?

I uninstalled Bitdefender and it is running again. I'm not sure why Bitdefender interfered when PF was in the exceptions but that was it. Thanks.

Question: I saw CAcove post about the Niantic trap and I'm HOPING I'm running the most updated PF!! I did roll back my computer to April 28. Would PF prompt to update if it weren't the most recent update? I got the warning on my accounts and it disappeared on one and thats the account I'm using now on PF. Do you think I'm safe using PF at the moment? Thank you!
