Hey everyone,

Just thought I would add to the huge ass list of people that got banned.

I was banned in Uldum I am pretty sure...had over 100k gold on my account or so. Had Gladiator titles/mounts on the account, tons of level 85's and shit, this has been my account since vanilla -- very upset and angry but guess it's my own fault for botting.

The reason why I think it is weird is because of my ban notice...ill post it.

***Notice of Account Closure***

Account Name: XXXXXX

Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy

This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.

Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

We've found the above behavior is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: Impact of Buying Gold - Services - World of Warcraft

The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at Blizzard Entertainment:Blizzard Legal Documentation. Note that additional Terms of Use violations may result in more severe actions against this account, up to and including permanent closure.

If you believe your account was compromised, please go to the following website https://us.battle.net/account/support/account-recovery.html. Our support staff will assist you as soon as possible. If you are unable to access your account due to the password being changed, please visit our Login Support site here: https://us.battle.net/account/support/password-reset.html

For any disputes of this action or further information on exploitive activity, please visit the Account Administration Overview and contact page here: Account Administration Overview - Battle.net Support

Well I have never EVER bought or sold gold before. I tried pulling the "I got hacked and now my account is banned" article, but it was no use....then I called in and they told me to submit an appeal...just got notice back from that saying they will not unban the account. So at this point, I am pretty sure its a lost cause -- am I right? Anyways...How can they ban me for selling/exchanging gold if I have never done it, and I wouldn't be afraid of them searching the account because it literally has never been done.....

R.I.P beloved wow account =(

If you cant afford to lose it dont bot it.
But anyways, just appeal it, claim you have no idea why you were banned. Come up with some bullshit story about that you were just playing normally when you suddenly got a weird disconnect and werent able to log back in.
Also if you read the ban forum recently you would know uldum is a very bad place to bot atm unless you do not care about the account.

If they claim you sold gold and you did not, I'd just argue that point. Should get it reduced too 72h. Essentially, go with that yes you had some gold on the account but to the best of your knowledge, you've never transferred gold to anyone other than buying sensibly priced items on the auction house, so how on earth can you have been selling gold??? T_T =/

Is this your first ban? If it is first, then you should get your account back, but dont tell them you got hacked because they see you are logging from same IP address last 6-7 years and they see that you are not hacked, so that was bad to send them "i got hacked". But i still think you can get your account back with right mail, but dont lie to them anymore. Tell them sorry, i was stupid bla bla, please dont remove me from game, my account is my life etc etc...Im sure you will get it back, but after that you can forget about botting on main account, its waste to lose all that for nothing.

You posted your real Acc-Name?
Now Blizzard knows that they banned the right one.
Well done.
