Greetings,

Your account was permanently suspended due to use of third party programs, which is against the Terms of Use ( Blizzard Entertainment: Battle.net Terms of Use
), the relevant part of which can be found in capital letters in Chapter 17 entitled Acknowledgements, and states:

"When running, the World of Warcraft client may monitor your computer's random access memory (ram) and/or cpu processes for unauthorized third party programs running concurrently with World of Warcraft. An "unauthorized third party program" as used herein shall be defined as any third party software, including without limitation any "addon" or "mod," that in Blizzard Entertainment's sole determination:

I. enables or facilitates *****ing of any type;

II. allows users to modify or hack the World of Warcraft interface, environment, and/or experience in any way not expressly authorized by Blizzard Entertainment; or

III. intercepts, "mines," or otherwise collects information from or through World of Warcraft. In the event that World of Warcraft detects an unauthorized third party program, Blizzard may

a) communicate information back to blizzard entertainment, including without limitation your account name, details about the unauthorized third party program detected, and the time and date the unauthorized third party program was detected; and/or

b) exercise any or all of its rights under section 6 of this agreement, with or without prior notice to the user."

The use of such programs or files is clearly unfair to the World of Warcraft community playing regularly and is not tolerated on our servers.

Following a review of your case, we can confirm that such program has been used on several occasions by your account, and that the subsequent action taken is appropriate. We would not look to enter into any further communications on this issue as the matter is now considered closed.

Please be advised that sanctions in relation to this matter will not be taken against any new accounts you may wish to create, but the characters from your cancelled account will remain irretrievable. If you should wish to create a new account, you will need to obtain a new and unused CD key with a retail copy of the game.

If you wish to review our current Rules and Policies, they can be found at:

Is your account banned? because that look's like a fake, Blizz can not monitor you computer without breaking privacy law's which got the in trouble in the past.

yes the account is banned.

I called them up and they forwarded it to the relevant department - i got this reply from the email the told me it would come from on the phone.

It's not fake.

interesting, what are the odds they would have detected us but slowly banned us to avoid major sub losses? ;p

I'm not instigating a ban wave.

I'm just saying that I have argued with them in 4 different phone calls and they have told me that they have detected software on my machine.

Did your bot crash shortly before the ban? I had a brand new account get banned shortly after Wow crashed and I accidentally hit the submit report button instead of "ignore". Just an idea. Since then, I haven't had any issues.

Bruches

No :)

I've been gold farming for years - it was just a standard banhammer DC

Ive accidently hit the submit button but nothing immediately happened, I'd say the account was good for atleast 2 weeks. Thats so interesting though, all my ban emails lately (10+) have been "third party software" or third party automation etc.. but its just dumb because I'll level 4 new vanillas, 3 of them will get suspended for bots and one will go on to 85 without anything.. Some days I just think bliz is just full of shit and taking advantage of their ability to close an account for whatever reason they want.

Zero. The email is signed which means 1 GM investigated. When there is detection, they don't sign the emails.

Well what was your automated ban email saying then? I'm sure you got one for abuse of the economy?

No the original email was the standard "notice of account closure - use of hacks "

They never detected you by scanning your RAM... they just sent you a copy of the termos of use, which include the possibility of scanning your RAM... something that used to be done in the past but is not done nowadays.

Relax.

You just got simply plain banned by GM investigation. No banwave or nothing related to this.
