My story is the following. I've started boting with MyGoBot on 29th July with three accounts. All went well up to lvl 29-31 in few days when MyGoBot stopped and we moved here as lots of other users.
At MyGoBot I've jumped from one Continent to another, botted 8-10 hours daily - don't care about the "safety" but that time everything went well.
Since we moved to Pokefarmer I've botted just the main account the other two were not opened at all. Now all three accounts perma banned. The main accunt was banned 4 days ago and the other two went down this morning.
I think Niantic managed to develop a system which was able to identify the bots "deviances" (e.g. the IP is in Hungary where I live and the avatar walks in the Central Park NYC).
A week ago I started a brand new PTC account to test with Pokefarmer. Max usage 3 hours daily used all the safety rules as someone mentioned "i made my bot with legit speed, legit place, legit way to play the game" and it went up to lvl 15 yesterday and now that account is also banned.
I finished with Pokemon Go from my side (the play itself is very boring) and I'm afraid all the accounts will be banned sooner or later which had run a bot... and lots of legit accounts will be also locked meantime

Update on 18/08/2016: Today morning I've received the well known "Trainer, Your account has been terminated..." note for all the four accounts. I think there is no safe way to use bot for Pokemon Go at the moment.
