Perma banned on a new account!

6)How many hours per day did you bot for?: 24/7

6.5)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot? 20%

7)How many auctions per day did you have?: only a few when i lvled mining and herb

8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? no

9)Was your account involved in gold selling? not yet

10)EU or US realm? EU

New account, bought it 20 days ago. Have botted 2 toons to 85 and both with mining and herb 525. Yesterday it was offline and I got an email from blizzard.

Ya botting 24/7 will def get you caught no actual human plays 24/7 and most the time if you get caught its because someone is seeing you and tips blizzard off and blizzard looks into it

any public profile shouldnt be used to farm 24/7.

make your own, theres a nice guide on the forum how to make one.

if your badass enough to bot 24/7, at least make a private one.

Even when, i wouldnt do it, ever... since most bans are due to players reporting you

even when in sw or org, wispering you... if you dont reply, they report you.

They say in each ticket that they got proof of me using a 3rd party program but cant show me it for policy reason.

They wont show you proof because they dont need to if they get a ticket about you thats proof enough for them im sure they can ban you for anything and you cant do nothing about it...you sign off on it every time you Redownload the game or a patch drops its the 2 things you check box before it lets you play that gives them permission to ban you for anything pretty much want to thats why not botting 24/7 = the less chances of someone reporting you

This is somewhat of a dumb thing to say. Just because you are botting 24/7 does NOT mean you will be banned. As others have said, it is a bad idea to use a public profile that often, but 24/7 isn't really that bad. I ran a bot for 6 days straight no breaks 24/7 and no ban. I've actually done that a few times.

In the end its all about luck, going 24/7 means there is a bigger chance of getting banned, but its not a 100 %.

Its luck and its Automation Banning aswell, I know people who have been banned from being on the AH for 24 hours, now if you say its all about luck thats a load of crap, Blizzard does not have 1 million GM's they have a little under 400 I got that from visiting there centre while them told us how much staff they have ect. But for 9.1 million players, Also the game has had a automation ban in it for ages, And again its all about monitoring your bot, You know the main reason for people getting banned is because another player reports them. I would say 80% of the time is "REPORTED BY PLAYER"

this 100 % most bans are due to people reporting your ass. stick 24 hours in same area, draw attention, miss wispers, and they report you.

Tell me for what then:

AH Posting: undermine journal shows people sticking up 2 k auctions up for months.

Grinding: I grind on a regular basis, 10000's of same mobs. no bans.

Emailing items / gold : I've mails 100's of stacks and mails, 100.000's of gold across chars, nothing.

this means im lucky... or blizz doesnt monitor shit.

Automated ban, maybe, in peak hours that if 5 report a player, he gets auto ban and auto mail.

Other then that i dont believe anything is automated at all.

Never said it was smart. Just saying, it doesnt matter if you bot for 1 hour or 24 hours. If you arent seen by other players you are fine. Botting 24/7 will up your chances of being seen/noticed, but just because you bot 24/7 doesnt mean youll get banned. I've been botting 24 hours a day for years in different games, I've done 24/6 a few times, havent gotten banned. Yeah, sure, I'm lucky, but thats proof that botting 24/7 doesn't auto-ban you.

I friend has been banned a few times thanks to the AH but yet again it could of been due to undercutting other players so they would report him maybe? thats all I could think about
