Received a 72 hr ban, then I decided to actually play (about a day or two, had botted for an hr and watched the bot the entire time, played the rest), then received a permanent ban... The account has had no other infractions. Also the account had a large number of level 80+ characters (8 or so)... Leads me to believe they can see HB with Warden.

If HB was detected then you would see a flood of people posting about bans, also the Tripwire would cut of all HB users if something weird should come up. So my guess is that you are just unlucky.

I had a level 24 guild also with 20k in the bank. Only took 6 or so months of work, sucks for sure.

I know for sure that HB isn't detected but I do know that they're watching certain paths that are used by some of these profiles.

yeah i also think that after a 3 days bann you shouldnt bot for like 2 weeks even if its for 2 minutes dont do it ;D gl getting acc back

I'm sorry for your loss, but don't spread BS about HB being detected, if it was the tripwire would go off. Also I know it sucks have a high level guild account banned but, don't bot that you don't want to loss.

But again, I am really sorry for you loss.

EDIT: Get in touch with blizz and act dumb, you may have a chance, but I doubt it.

Sweet! They changed it to a 72 hour suspension, they said no initially, in which I replied asking them to pass gm to someone else.

Do you still think that Warden detected you using HB? Or are you going to edit that ridiculous statement in your first post?

Jesus people are sensitive about this, I mentioned that as an afterthought. It's hard to tell, I only botted for about 2 hours within a week time period after the 72 hour suspension (it was a different area as well), I was watching the bot during that time (watching a movie). To anyone else it might look like someone's grinding, I also had the ShutUp plugin set to ding when a player whispers me, when anything is said in guild chat, when a gm is nearby, or when a gm whispers me. There's a tool I was reading about that is supposed to be able to tell if warden is looking at you, I can't seem to find it now though, read about it a few yrs back.

dont bot what you are not prepared to lose.

Warden is poo, they dont detect crap, you made a mistake botting immediately after being restored.

Gm's are stupid, but not that stupid.
