I had just logged in after a 12 hour break and was emptying my mailbox when I got dc'd. Re-logged in to find my account perma banned. I raised a ticket via web support and was told by a GM that my account had been closed. The GM said he had looked into the logs and could see I had been using a "well known 3rd party program to automate your druids movement and actions to gather herbs and ore for you". I was told twice by different GM's that my account would not be re-opened. I replied to advise that I had only been gathering herbs and ore for my guild and not to sell for real money. The ban was reduced to a 72 hour suspension.
This is purely for information purposes. Yes I got banned. Yes I deserved the ban. I'm happy that Blizzard changed their mind and reduced it to a 72hour suspend.
