tl;dr permaban for Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy --- What to do for appeal?
Longer:
Finally got the ban hammer. However! I wasn't AFK during the ban, and my account hadn't been recently botted on. (5-7 days).
The appeal...
First time I have been banned since Glider days, and I was hit with the massive banwave that nailed a big portion of that user base (2005 I think it was)...
Anyway, I am unsure of how I should go about the appeal? I see people have been able to get their ban's turned from permanent to 72 hours.
Also - I have seen some services on another website that people offer a service for $15-$50 to assist with getting your ban reversed.
Has anyone used them? Are they doing something I don't know about?
I am basically looking for some assistance with trying to get this ban turned around and getting stuck with a 72hr ban - if it is remotely possible?

Snippet of my Email said:***Notice of Account Closure***
Account Name: XXXXX
Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy
This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.

- I haven't bought or sold gold on this account,
- I had been using Tyreal with the Demonic Class Routine, so not much in the AFK department.
- I don't use the Auction House for selling items.
