People still being banned with no update from Bossland

Reports of people still being banned, especially in cases with people using gatherbuddy are still happening.

It's been a few days since the banwave and I personally dont feel like theres been a substantial explanation to let us, the customers and users of HB, know what happened really.


I've seen a lot of threads get locked, for simple discussion and would especially if this thread wasn't locked so we could discuss this issue and show a desire from the users for more information. I'd hope there is an ability to have an open forum with some basic democratic and civil discussion.

This is important for some of us because it's not really fun losing money on setting up a new wow account(s) only for them to get instant banned again.

It's their own fault for willingly botting when every single person here knows it isn't safe. You have to manually disable tripwire just to bot, so if you do that without knowing the risks it's your own fault. There will be an update when there's something to announce. The reason the threads get locked is because there already is a discussion thread for this:

If you read my post clearly. It's about the lack of information given to us about the ban and whether or not HB is detectable.

Instead, all I can see from the annoucement is a load of information about how other bots and hacking tools were banned alongside HB, thus not being exclusive. That's really not helpful for HB users who want to know if HB is detectable

HB is detectable, you dont need Bossland to tell you that. The past 4-5 banwaves clearly shows this.

What do you want them to tell you? The bot was detected, they will release a new version in x amount of time, and x amount of time after that version is released, itll be detected once again

Not rocket science, dont need Bossland to tell you that.

If you can't tell from the still-constant posts of "I was banned on a new account that I botted for 3 hours" that it is detectable, then I'm not sure what to tell you. It is detectable until we are told otherwise, and that won't happen until the investigation is finished. It's evident from the announcement that this detection was different and more aggressive than we are used to, so the investigation is going to be longer.

Been botting since the day after the ban wave. Two accounts running currently and nothing "yet" (knocks on wood).

By the looks of it, it seems it's mostly people running multiple accounts with GB2. I've ran GB for about 2 hours max within those 2 days, mostly RAF dungeon grinding and questing.

I have been botting for about five years+ now using Honorbuddy. On Tuesday i was raiding i got banned. I was so shocked, but knew it was gonna happen one day. I made over gold cap on a few toons. I been 2400+ in arenas, i was in a world top 50 guild as a main raider. Now im banned. Im so lost in my life right now im so sad. i dont know if i should start over or not. that account im banned on is a vanilla day one account. if i was to come back... im 100% botting to get it to 110 and make gold, but i dont wana get baned if its not that 99% safe. is blizzard getting info when my account is botting or what is it. please help. i dont want no refund or anything like that.

I know the feeling, since 2010 no bans and ONLY ALWAYS used combat routine, nothing else.

My vanilla account got suspended for 6 months, but its GG for me. I am not going back to WoW ever again.

I suggest you move on too, unless you have a stupid amount of friends to play with, but for a solo player like me, its done.

It has been a good ride, cant blame HB as we all took a gamble. Survived many banwaves, but it was our turn this time.

It was fun while it lasted, but I am now free to play other games and pursuit hobbies.
I am actually not sad.

Botting has never been close to 99% safe. You bot, you get banned.

that's why i don't use HB for only combat bot.... to risky
HB is good for quest and grind....

Information is provided when there is something to say. If the status thread has not been updated, there's simply no new information to publically share. The 'announcement' thread is all that is or will be made available.

If people have disabled Tripwire, and continue to use the bot... any bans are solely on them. There are a couple of valid use cases for disabling Tripwire. But for the vast majority of our Community, disabling Tripwire is folly. For all the negative rep Tripwire gets from some very vocal and ignorant people, it has saved accounts MANY times.

We already have a 'discussion' thread.
Please use it, instead of opening duplicates.
