Minimum PC Requirements for 5x clients?

Looking for the cheapest possible combination of computer parts that can run 5 WoW/HB clients and some change at approximately 12 FPS (outside of cities)

What I've been eyeballing, but have been unable to test is as follows:

4-6GB RAM (depending on if I'm using a dedicated card or integrated)
Windows XP x64 (modified with nLite for a lower footprint)
Preferably integrated graphics.

Thoughts? Ideas?

I3 (I5 is better) but I3 works ok, gts 450 card is like $100, 4 gb is fine but 6 would save you some headaches.

are u going to use high or low graphics? what level of activity, low, below normal, normal etc?

I was considering finding a friend with an i3/i5 and benchmarking the stress the integrated graphics would put on a bare minimum WoW client, as I saw a benchmark saying it could run Diablo III decently (40fps on medium-low graphics), which seems to put it within the realm I am looking for.

If that is the case, the i3/i5 route would be a good way to go, and ignoring the GTS 450 completely!
If it's not the case, I know already I can get away with much less than an i3 (Core2 Duo/Quad probably being around what I'm going to need.

Also, cards like the GTS 450 require a lot of juice to run, meaning I'd have to get a better PSU, etc, increasing the overall build cost! ;)

The piss poorest graphics possible! Minimum farclip, limited 12 FPS, the works. Hehe.

I can run 5 wows and 5 bots running at 20 fps with a core2duo 2.2 ghz, 5 gigs of ram (DDR2), and an ATI Radeon HD 5450 graphics card (1 Gig DDR3), it's more of a home theater card, so it doesn't suck juice and I haven't had any problems. Now mind you I can't do anything else, like use my browser, or anything like that. I do stream movies to my wii, but that is minimal, wii is only wireless G.

This is amazin to hear! A 5450 is a pretty low card on the food chain, and benchmarks approximately the same as the i3's integrated GPU! I would still prefer if someone with an i3 could do some testing for us, but being able to run bots off of the CPU entirely seems like a fantastic money/space/energy saver :D

As the integrated graphics would take the memory from the RAM, this would mean I have to go for 6GB of RAM, (an extra 10 bucks, lol)

Hey there

I can only advise: AMD Phenom ii x6 1090T Black Edition
AMD is great for CPUS. great price. very nice running.
I run 5 HBS as well. Around 30-40% of CPU used, with Win7 64bit..
What else do you need. Then your system is not capped with the CPU anymore, and all that for just around 150bucks I think
I think hdd is pretty much more interesting

Regards

My current theoretical setup costs $330 USD, including tax, shipping, etc
That CPU costs about 230, doesn't include a GPU and is overkill by far ;)

8GB of ram is breathing space tbh, besides its dirt cheap at the moment and with MoP around the corner why not have some breathing space.
Although on the flip side the improvements to HB are supposed to make it "lighter" on CPU/RAM.
