Hey guys, i want to upgrade my 6 years old pc(it has new motherboard and new HDD 1tb)

Phenom II x4 3.4ghz black edition (6years old)
Mother Gigabyte m68mt-s2 (6month old)
Hdd 1tb (2month old)
4gb Ddr3 1333
Psu generic 500w
Ati 5670 1gb gddr5

I will buy a new pc in a few months but i wanted to leave this one for only using bot 24/7..

Im thinking in buying more ram (8gb) and in maybe changing the CPU to an APU..

Is APU worth or should i buy another one?

The GPU works fine for archeage with all low(has stable fps 60)

Sorry for my bad english, im from Argentina!

Thanks!

My opinion is that it would be unecessary, I have a similar setup and it run fine 2 bots, but it pushes the machine to the edge with 3 bots, and I have an AMD 5450, if both your video card and current cpu do the job fine, I would use the money instead in the new pc.

Good disk system, half the battle.:)
RAID 0 (4 x HDD Western Digital Black 500GB) for System and Programs

SSD INTEL for ArcheAge

Thats what i have in mind, to buy a new pc, but since i have a new mother and a new HDD, i want to change a few things just to let this one for bot and the new one for bot/play games..
Im using Win 8.1 64 bits and for 4gb ram with 1 archeage i cant even use 3 chromes that it goes all slow.. thats why i need to get more ram.. (till i save money i will be using this pc)

1tb western digital blue very slow disk. When not enough RAM, then use the disk. if the disk is slow, your computer is running slow. Read about it.

Oh yeah, what Djoni said is a perfect example, the only thing different I did in my very old setup was buying an ssd, the performance impact is huge, specially for the archeage loading screens, that might be a better buy than more ram, and if you can get both at a good price, excellent.

I will!! Do you have any ssd that you can recommend me to buy? Thanks!

I bought a common Kingston 120gb ssd which was more than enough for system+apps/games, and then you can put your old hdd for big files like movies, etc...

PS: Chrome and the latest browsers stopped being fast a while ago, they had some crazy ram needs, where every tab open is a new proccess.
