So whats going to happen with hb and gb once 4.0 is out will it just break the bot? or will hb2 be out
by then, or will this bot that is out just "work" with the new patch and it wont even effect it, considering
all the new spells and everything. Just wondering because it seems like the patch will be out on 5th for
US and sometime either the 12th or the 13th for EU

It's going to break all the CC's i'm sure. Idk about the actual function of the bot and it's coding.
 
It will break... Offsets will need to be updated, custom classes re-written to support the new spells etc. It will be a lot of work, but I doubt it will be as much work as writing the bot from scratch as the bare essentials remain the same. Of course sometimes creating something from scratch can be easier than completely revamping an already existing system.
 
The people that have bought lifetime will get support even though it will require further re-coding of the bot, ect. Right?
 
The Developers are already working on their plans for 4.0 and they will post updates when the time comes. I know they will do everything they can to get an update out to work with 4.0. But remember that all CCs will have to be updated also and that will take time aswell. It may take time and may be longer then other updates but I trust that the devs will get it done as fast as they can.
 
My $.02 based on absolutely nothing but a gut feeling, just to preface anything I'd say. I would surmise that since it's a major update, the main concern is ensuring warden hasn't been updated. If it hasn't, I think there will be little to nothing that needs to change for the bot to work. I'd figure there would be a few days at most, until a working bot is available. If warden does get updated, I'd estimate 1-2 weeks. Perhaps someone like Apoc (or someone using the bot on the PTR or Beta servers) because they can tell if it works or not there. Perhaps one of them will chime in. That said, they could throw in the warden update when the patch goes live.
 
now I used to bot a long time ago with glider and I remember that as soon as an update came out that you should never use the bot (even if somehow it works) until a new version of the bot is released
is this still the same case?

also just a side note will hb2 be for 4.0?
 
The problem with warden though, is that they are doing a major update with the game right now. That is why the did warden 2.0 a bit ago instead of when cata came out. The same reason that they are doing 4.0.1 before cata so they can test everything and not have so many problems at once. However, they might throw in smaller updates and things like that. I would not be concerned on another major warden update at this time though. However I do not know much about warden or what they do with it, that is just my personal opinion.

yeah with every major patch as far back as i can remeber there has allways been a warden update included especially now with cata coming out and everything being new that a warden update will come out
