Hi!
Im having PC issues with my main PC, that im not able to run wow on it without getting BSOD all the times.
I can still run Diablo on it and any other game but its pretty lame when i only run 2 diablo clients on 1 PC and on my 2nd PC 2 wow clients.
I have 3 wow accounts and 2 diablo accounts with 1 bot session for each account and what im looking for is a PC that will be able to run all theese clients at one time without problems.
Im guessing i need a PC with atleast 8gb RAM, i7 processor, a new nvidia/AMD graphic card and a good cooler system wich will cost me around 1000-1200 euro, its just a wild guess.
Since there are many of you here on this forum that got thoose much accounts running daily, im asking you that have around 5-6 accounts running on the same PC, wich parts is the most important to invest more in?

Please, only people with such experience may comment.

1. Accounts and clients running at the same time.
2. specific parts like: Graphic gard, Processor, RAM etc.
3. Your CPU and Memory usage with everything running.
4. Own comment like: 1-2 more clients will fit.

If you could answer 1-4 and what parts is most important, I would be happy!

What is your current system and what are your current wow client settings? I'm thinking you have your wow clients set to some high setting and resolution.

Pc1: 4 GB RAM, Intel core duo T6670 2.20GHz, nVidia Geforce 320M

Is able to run 3 clients with low settings and no addons, but it gets BSOD from wow so im only running 2 diablo clients.

Pc2: 2.92 GB RAM, Intel core i5 520M 2.40GHz, Intel HD Graphics

Only able to run 2 wow clients with low settings and no addons, not a gaming PC but since I cant run wow on PC 1 I use this one at the moment.

Well the thing we need to know is this...

How much do you plan on spending? Do you want to go lowest possible price? (it will cost you more in the long run if you plan on getting more accts). Medium area? High area? or super awesome area?

well, everything under 1500 euro is fine otherwise i need to check if its worth it.
I currently have 3 wow and 2 diablo accounts but im not against upgrading to more accounts in the future.
I just wanna know wich parts im gonna invest if i want to run 5 bots and be able to do other stuff at the same time.

here ya go... this is similar what my bot comp has, or what I would upgrade to (I have the asus 7970 with 6 video out and stock 1000MHz)

2x Amazon.com: Sapphire Video Adapter (100925): Electronics
Amazon.com: Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound: Computers & Accessories
Newegg.com - ASUS EAH6950 DCII/2DI4S/2GD5 Radeon HD 6950 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card (bot comp - ~$300 new ... 6 months ago)
Amazon.com: Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 OC 3GB DDR5 HDMI/DVI-I/Dual Mini DP PCI-Express Graphics Card 11197-01-40G: Computers & Accessories (main comp)
Amazon.com: SilverStone ATX12V/EPS12V 1000W Silver Modular PFC Power Supply ST1000-P (Black): Electronics (main comp has this, bot comp has an offbrand, 80 plus gold)
Amazon.com: Cooler Master 120mm Silent Case Fan 4-in-1 Value Pack - (R4-S2S-124K-GP): Electronics
Amazon.com: Corsair Hydro Series H100 Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (CWCH100): Electronics
Amazon.com: Komputerbay 32GB (4x 8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz DIMM with Black Low Profile Heatspreaders 240-Pin Dual / Quad Channel RAM Desktop Memory KIT 10-10-10-27 XMP ready: Komputerbay
Amazon.com: AMD FX-8150 FX 8-Core Black Edition Processor Socket AM3+ - FD8150FRGUBOX: Computers & Accessories
Amazon.com: ASUS Crosshair V Formula AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Republic of Gamers Series Motherboard: Electronics
Amazon.com: Thermaltake Level 10 GT VN10001W2N No PS Full Tower Case(Black): Electronics (main comp has this, bot comp has the level 10 gts case)
Amazon.com: Mushkin Chronos 240 GB SATA 6.0 Gb-s 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive (MKNSSDCR240GB): Electronics (main comp has 480gb version, bot comp has 120gb version)

the case is really expensive, but you can always go for a cheaper one!
Add in an optical drive if you like

If you want intel instead of amd... then you can pay $300 for a mobo and $350-550 for a cpu. I went with $200/$200 amd mobo/cpu

taken from the thread you linked, just curious about how many bots your running on it and what CPU and memory usage you have.

I run 6 wow / hb and 1 swtor and it doesn't get very high at all. The ram gets up a little bit bc swtor sucks the life out of your computer

I'll have to check when the servers are back up

Ah, wow servers are still up... and swtor still uses a bunch of cpu / memory just sitting at the server select screen (w/o servers being up)

Bot comp:
amd 8150 @ 3.9ghz (I didn't boost it up to 4.4ghz like I did with main comp)
RoG crosshair v
amd 6950 asus w/ 6 video-out
corsair h100 - medium load @ room temp
32gb ddr 1600 mhz Komputerbay memory (10 10 10 27)
1000w gold psu

So, after some fast looking into parts etc. i found that a store in my town where i buy my PC's also build their own gaming computers that are very descent. If i want an other part that are in their current setup I just need to pay the difference and they fix it for me.

the PC im gonna head for is Gamer God Zeus - Priss?nkt 1000kr! | Alina.se

instead of ASUS GeForce GTX 580 1 536 MB i will make them add AMD Radeon HD 7970
the RAM is at 8GB at the beggining so i will change it to 12 or 16GB.
1 HDMI so i can plug it into my TV.
And the last thing that im most concerned about is the PSU-effekt that are on 650W only, maybe 800-1000W would work?

the starting price is on 1630 euro and by adding the graphic card and more RAM that are really cheap it will cost 1750 euro (without 1 HDMI and more PSU). I dont know what the different value between having a PSU with 650W or one with 800-1000W.

I hopes its a good build otherwise tell me whats bad with it, you can understand the basics if you look at the website.
also if something is to pricy and a cheaper alternativ part excist let me know.

a 650w will not be able to handle the 7970

but you're jipping yourself with 8gb

A 7970 can.

"500W (or greater) power supply recommended" (quote from amd.com)

The 7000 series are quite power efficient.

i3 2120 is fast enough for 5+ WoW windows and bots.
1630 euro for a botting computer :D

800W PSU for 1x GTX580? You must be kidding me. 650W is more than enough.

I think it's a waste of money.

Don't buy a i7 2600K for gaming, that's just stupid. Stick with the i5 and take Ivy Bridge, not Sandy Bridge.
7970 is overkill for wow botting. A 6870 is fast enough.

@ Kick: I love your profiles, but no offense. 650w is more than enough. In my opinion it's pure overkill. But hey, they sell those crap to every 15year old kid with a single gpu...

Use a fluke amperemeter and check your power utilization. These software calculators are crap.

Even these software "cap" calculators tell you that a LGA2011 i7 and a 7970 runs with 600w psu...
With Furmark and Prime95 you're probably gona hit 500W in real life tests.

I've blown a 650w psu with my 6950 before, I went up to a 1000w and never looked back - as the psu never uses full power - i'd rather have too much than too little and burn up another one.

I use 1000w in bot comp and 1200w silverstone in main comp, they work great and i'll never have to worry about over taxing my system again

A 650W crap PSU?
Sry.... but we were using 1000W PSU for Dual-GPU setups and heavily (liquid nitrogen) overclocked only.
1250W and up was used for quad sli. But 1250w and single gpu is a pure waste, because the efficency is terrible a really low usage (below 20%). And that's were a system normally is in idle (under 200w).
The new intel cpus with high power gpu is under 100W in idle (properly set up in bios). THanks to new power saving technology.

a 650W can easily power a system with a 7970 in.

Edit: are we talking about the 7970 or that GTX? :S

so a 650W would work but it would be safer with 1000W in my situation, right?
8GB RAM is to little like i guessed, so 12-16GB minimum then.

anything more I need to think about?

The 650w will work, you don't need a 1000w - but i'd get a 750w. Just keep the 650w until it burns up
