Paranoia of the third degree

So I just got hb last night, and used it for a bit while I surfed. Can they only tell if your using it while your using it or does it show up in backlogs? I've got a lot of time invested in my two main characters and my intention was to level some alts up with this. But I see people are getting banned, I've changed the name of hb.exe as as stated in the paranoid thread the description fix no longer works. My only intention for this is questing several alts to 100. Will they be able to tell I used it previously, or can they only detect it while its running?
