Does anyone know if Demonbuddy is supported on Windows XP Professional 64 bit? I am pretty sure it is but XP is old now and I assume most people are using Windows 7. I am looking for an operating system that is stripped down like crazy so that it uses a lot less resources. Windows 7 is shit for running 10 bots, I am sure people do it and they will say it runs fine .. yea yea .... I do it now too but I am looking at whats available to maximize system performance by removing all the possible bloatware. I am thinking of using a 64 bit Windows XP OS but not sure if I will run into any kind of problem with Demonbuddy.

I would appreciate any advice or recommendations on what works best for this. Please don't tell me to use classic theme on windows 7, already am - doesn't help that much. as for specs of my botting machines, they are more than fine and I am looking at how to increase performance software wise.

Bot Computer 1

Asus X58 Sabertooth Motherboard
12 GB Dominator GT Ram - 2000mhz
i7 950 @ 3.8 Ghz
EVGA GTX 580 3GB
128GB Crucial M4 SSD
Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

Bot Computer 2

EVGA X58 3 way SLI Classified
i7 920 D0 @ 3.6 ghz
12 GB Dominator GT ram - 2000mhz
EVGA GTX 580 3GB
128GB Crucial M4 SSD
Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

Yes, it will work with 64bit windows
Although i'm not sure it will give you any increase in performance if you tweak 7 a bit.

I want to tweak XP 64 bit since it works on there as you say. 7 feels "heavier" when running bots. even server R2 ran much smoother.

just install Windows Starter edition, it come without Areo and the nice theme stuff. and a lot of other stuff missing, if you just wanna run an app, that might be your best bet.

I never thought of that, its a good idea.
Make sure you make a partition

Decided to use nlite to strip down the crap out of a XP 64 bit OS. used a preset I found on a forum meant for benchmarking with full program compatibility. Testing now :).
