Only last 7 days?

I read on one thread that the bot only lasts around 7 days and then a ban usually comes. Did they mean like 7 days straight botting?

I'm sure they mean 24/7. Ask anyone here that actually tries to keep their accounts from getting banned. You can go YEARS without any issues.

You're welcome! I personally botted my main account (gathering, PvP, raiding, the whole bit) and it lasted from WOTLK until MoP. I left it overnight and a GM messaged me; I never responded because I was sleeping. Instant banned.

EDIT: I was doing mining/herbalism when the GM caught me. I felt the need to mention that.
