One of the first quests in ashenvale

I know in the log it says its a broken quest by blizzard, the one where you mount the big kodo, is there a way to not do that quest so it doesnt keep trying to do it and i die?

hearth to org
fly back
pickup quest and go

damn blizzard and there broken quests, ive restarted it like 4 times.. same thing
