Old time botter with a question about vpn and vm

So I'm on of the many MANY players who got hit with a ban wave last May. I had botted for (in-game) profits to make gold and had over 3 mil gold taken from me. Lately I've been debating on coming back for legion and when I do, I'm eager to make my millions back. I figured with the level 100 boost their going to be giving out with legion, I can buy a new account under a friends name, boost to 100/level to 110 and use it to bot inside a VM via a VPN, while playing normally on the host machine without the VPN. I guess what I'm asking is, what are the chances of both accounts getting banned if I never bot on my main?

i wouldnt risk using the same account. whole point is to keep it seprate, different machine, different ip, etc..but you did answer my question, sort of. so thanks for the insight

don't waste your time with a VM or a bot..

as long as you don't attach HB to your main you will be fine..

pro tip- always run your main 64bit - HB will never be able to attach (for now)
