As of Beta #1651 / Release #331+ (not deployed yet) our initial Abyss plugin has undergone some updates to fix various issues with the initial design. We feel the new updates significantly improve the plugin, which is why the changes were made in the first place.
However, upon initial Beta testing, we've had a few users who are unable to use it due to using an unsupported game modification tool.
Please remember, using any 3rd party modifications to the game client or its files is not supported as it does change the way the client works, and can break Exilebuddy in unexpected ways. A lot of people using this unsupported tool have often reported bugs with Exilebuddy while using it, without even realizing the issues that are arising from the game data changes, and not Exilebuddy itself.
Yes, we're aware why people use this tool, but you have to understand how you're affecting the game, and as a result, affecting Exiledbuddy, which is heavily dependent on the client working a specific way (what GGG releases as the unmodified game). We can't compromise and offer an API for the client and then not use it because another tool is breaking what otherwise would be working code.
Attached in this post is the previous code for those users who still want to use the old Abyss code for now, so they can have the time needed to adjust their setup. We will not be supporting any 3rd part modifications to the game, so please make the necessary adjustments to avoid future issues.
The attached code is also the final version of the previous Abyss plugin. There are no plans to change it or support it in the future so please make sure to adjust your botting setup as needed to avoid issues with the current version as soon as possible.
To use this old code, simply overwrite all the files in your "<Exilebuddy Root>\3rdParty\Default\Abyss".
Please note: for each bot update, the old files will be replaced with the newest files we're releasing, so you will need to overwrite them again if you still rely on this code.
We think this is the most fair compromise for everyone to continue moving forward our development, while giving people the time they need to make changes as needed if they're using unsupported tools. It's a small inconvenience, but then again, we've stressed from the start of the project how unsupported game modifications affect Exilebuddy and can cause issues.
Thank you for your understanding!
