Did you ever think they used the site? I dont know to much about internet hacking, But i do know you can find out I.P Address quite easily, Let's Say you log into honorbuddy, it shows your ip address, lets say Blizzzard found a way to see this information, and Then scanewd that ip adddres too see what accounts were being played at that I.P Address, Honestly its a farfetched idea but it could be a potiental reason, i mean alot of you guys that were banned all your accounts were banned not just 1 or 2 , most of you lost them all, just something to think on, maybe getting a I.P Blocker, a Onion Router or something to Mix the Ip Address constantly might help i dont know , just want honorbuddy back! lmfao i hate manually playing so boring !!

Ok, let's go ahead with this idea... maybe they asked the NSA, CIA and hmmm... The KGB for all our IPs :cool:

Sorry I forgot the iluminati

visiting this website wouldnt be enough to trigger a ban.

and everyone knows tor routers are shit and offer very limited protection. especially with users who arent aware of their weakness's

Lots of hypocrisy abound. "They can ban for anything they want at anytime" then "being an HB forum user isn't enough"

I know that if I was blizzard and knew someone used a botting forum.. Well. Common sense.

Do I think it's the MO? No. Certainly not out of the realm of possibility in this context however. With the scale though.. Impossible. They won't even hire the manpower to kick out content lol. I still haven't even heard back on my appeal from yesterday morning yet.

no im saying , they could easily, They can see we are registered her trace our IP , and then Execute bans based on Rotations and Movement and What not, IP Address gives them a Edge on Locating lmfao thats why some of us werent caught, i log in via my mobile network on my phone so they can trace my IP address wont find my desktop,

No, Blizzard did not hack the Bossland computer! Chinese gold sellers paid Chinese hackers to hack the Bossland computers in order to destroy the competition. That's my conspiracy theory, and I'm sticking to it.! :-)

an uneducated man might come to that conclusion but let me simplify it for you.

Blizzard Entertainment:World of Warcraft Terms of Use

Section 6 goes something like this:
Account Suspension/Deletion.

BLIZZARD MAY SUSPEND, TERMINATE, MODIFY, OR DELETE ANY BNET ACCOUNT OR WORLD OF WARCRAFT ACCOUNT AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON OR FOR NO REASON, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE TO YOU. For purposes of explanation and not limitation, most account suspensions, terminations and/or deletions are the result of violations of this Terms of Use or the EULA.

the bold text warns us we can be banned...
the underlined text says that most account bans are a result of violations of Terms listed in Section 2

Additional License Limitations.

The license granted to you in Section 1 is subject to the limitations set forth in Sections 1 and 2 (collectively, the “License Limitations”). Any use of the Service or the Game Client in violation of the License Limitations will be regarded as an infringement of Blizzard’s copyrights in and to the Game. You agree that you will not, under any circumstances:

A. use cheats, automation software (bots), hacks, mods or any other unauthorized third-party software designed to modify the World of Warcraft experience;

B. exploit the Game or any of its parts, including without limitation the Service, for any commercial purpose, including without limitation (a) use at a cyber cafe, computer gaming center or any other location-based site without the express written consent of Blizzard; (b) for gathering in-game currency, items or resources for sale outside the Game; or (c) performing in-game services in exchange for payment outside the Game, e.g., power-leveling;

C. use any unauthorized third-party software that intercepts, “mines,” or otherwise collects information from or through the Game or the Service, including without limitation any software that reads areas of RAM used by the Game to store information about a character or the game environment; provided, however, that Blizzard may, at its sole and absolute discretion, allow the use of certain third party user interfaces;

D. modify or cause to be modified any files that are a part of the Game Client or the Service in any way not expressly authorized by Blizzard;

E. host, provide or develop matchmaking services for the Game or the Service, or intercept, emulate or redirect the communication protocols used by Blizzard in any way, for any purpose, including without limitation unauthorized play over the internet, network play, or as part of content aggregation networks;

F. facilitate, create or maintain any unauthorized connection to the Game or the Service, including without limitation (a) any connection to any unauthorized server that emulates, or attempts to emulate, the Service; and (b) any connection using programs or tools not expressly approved by Blizzard;

G. violate any applicable law or regulation in connection with your use of the Game Client or the Service; or

H. disrupt or assist in the disruption of (i) any computer used to support the Service (each a “Server”); or (ii) any other player's Game experience. ANY ATTEMPT BY YOU TO DISRUPT THE SERVICE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE GAME CLIENT MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS.

there is no hypocrisy, only your limited understanding of facts.

They knew and had the power to do this ages ago. The only reason they didn't was money.

they might have been waiting on the court decision. im not real up on how things are going for honorbuddy legally. it would be nice to have someone with close to first hand knowledge explain it a little better.

Bet you all $100 they are scanning active process again like before. All they had to do was to turn it on for a week and viola! Caught all the recent botters lols.
No one would ever know! How can you prove it? It their trade secret to find who's cheating in their game...
Lawsuit or not, they did it. It's that simple. There is nothing else that all these who got banned have in common, than a little process called "HonorBuddy.exe":D!

which is now legal in the US if you consent to waive your rights by clicking the agree button every time a ToU is put in front of you.

in the US you can waive your 4th amendment rights by giving verbal/written consent.

agreeing to the Terms is giving written consent.
