It looks like they just added new features.
The problem right now is the API, it is the one that prevents the client from seeing those pokestops and pokemon from spawning. It's like playing a pokemon with an IP ban. You hear music, you have the data, but when you request for location of pokestops and pokemon, you will see none, unless you are playing using your phone. If developers can ***** the API and prevent the server from distinguishing between a bot and a human player, then everything will be fine, just like what they did with .35 Niantic may have put a lot of unknown and encryption, but it is *****able. The developers are hacking it from the client side and not from the server side, they should be able to do it. But it will take time, but I don't really care.
Niantic is the one hurting themselves. There are no new players anymore. And 50% of them are probably botting. Those who are banned are least likely to start a new account without bot. Most of them just quit completely, unable to compete with botted accounts. Kids don't play them anymore. When I asked them, they said it's a "Summer Thing" There was no school back then and they had plenty of time. Now they more focused on other stuff and the majority of players left are adults, most of them are probably botters. But without bot, I don't know.
