Patch 0.39 (Android) / 1.90 (iOS) has dropped.


When will a new Pokefarmer be ready?
The Bossland GmbH development staff are working to accommodate all the needed changes. The Bossland GmbH development staff will keep you informed of progress updates in this thread. But, the thread will only be updated when appropriate (i.e., an internal milestone has been met).


About the forums...
All threads pertaining to "cannot use Pokefarmer" issues, the accelerated release of an update, complaints about the bot being down, and general trolling will be closed or deleted.

Some Facts

  • API minimum version is 0.39.0 now.
  • Changing API minimum version makes the Bot work again. This is what other Map owners, Bot owners do. We do not do this because we do not want to let you run into bans.

So, why is it offline - why does it not work?

  • Niantic uses code obfuscation since 0.37.0 (the reason why your battery is dying much faster now when playing PoGo on your mobile device))
  • Something we need, to get the Bot working is in such an obfuscated code area. We have to deobfuscate this first to use that and to update the Bot safely.

But, this takes time. It's not an easy "1 hour thing". It's done when it's done.
 
Status Update

  • We got MITM attacks working again (even on Android with SafetyNet enabled)
  • The Signature (UK6) Encryption seems to be the same.
  • The IV Key Generation seems to have changed.

Nothing more to share. We're still on it.

I know, the downtime sucks. But I don't want to bring it back online again to let you run into bans. Account security is one of the most important things for us and you know - the last ban wave did not hurt Pokefarmer accounts at all. Because our API Emulation is safe.

However the new encryption is the only missing thing right now to get it updated and back online again and it's still a "find the needle in the haystack game" and we're building tools that automates the process and helps us because for a human this is absolutly not possible to find.

Building these tools cannot be done in a day, or two days. This just takes time.

EDIT: I cannot say an ETA. It's just done when it's done and the tools are working properly. I really wish I could provide an ETA but you'll see it magically works again when it's done then. Please be patient we're back very soon.

Status Update (some good news)

Hey Community,

so I have some good news for you.

As you all know all Bots, Scanners have stopped working. That's because Niantic finally turned on the switch that no map data is returned when you use the old encryption. That's the reason why we took it offline after 0.39 was launched. In the meanwhile a few ban waves happened. We were not affected because we took Pokefarmer offline after the update was released. Anyways since we're offline we're working on the new encryption stuff. We made a lot of progress but it's not easy this time.

However after a lot of team work with other developers we've found a function that generates the stuff we are looking for. So we actually found the stuff what we were missing. But that does not mean it is finished at all. We just found what we were looking for. Now it is time to dig through that, understand what happens there, find the encryption itself and understand it. Because of the recently added code obfuscation that means a lot of work. Some of us are trying to understand this manually - others are trying to create tools that automates that stuff.

In fact we are coming closer but it's not finished at all. But at least there is some little light at the end of the tunnel.

I still cannot provide an ETA because that really depends on some "luck". So, this can be a day, a week, a month, a year, or whatever. Let us all hope that it's be something between a day and a month. ;-)

Anyways the new released update is nothing you need to worry about. The encryption is still the same there and did not change and once we're ready to automate that stuff again we'll be ready for upcoming patches as well.

for those are getting worried about the time on their key

as we always do,we will extend your keys when done with the updates
 
Pokefarmer is about being updated to a new version. So, we are back after a long downtime. This was not our own effort at all. At this point we want to thank everyone that contributed in pogodev community. I'll open this thread now.

Disclaimer: New features (as the buddy system etc.) is coming very soon - let us first focus on getting it stable for everyone again. Thank you.
 
So PF will be back within days or a week? Just have to update our clients and we're good to go?

I cant purchase a new Key(site is down or something), and my old one expired during the downtime? what do i do!!!?
 
Awesome I'll check it out when I'm home from work in a bit. I just checked and my key expired, it was said keys would be paused during the downtime and wouldn't expire. I had almost an entire month on mine left, how do I get this fixed?

Just checked the date on mine, purchased 9/21, this thread started on 9/26 so at most 5 days was used up before it went down. The user "Tony" said we wouldn't lose our time and it would be rectified once patching was complete. I'm stoked to try it out again once I get a key to use.

Shopify keys requires manual approval. This is why you don't receive instant keys. Please be patient. Key is coming then if it has not arrived yet.
We told you that we will extend the keys you already own due to the downtime. We will extend the keys in the next 24+ hours.
Pokefarmer Forum link to buy Pokefarmer is not working (gets fixed soon). In the meanwhile you can buy Pokefarmer using Pokefarmer - Pokemon Go Farm Robot
