Off topic: Computer quesion-Windoze related

I've got an old laptop that I'm using to mess around with on the internet and run one bot on. It's really crappy. An old single core 1.6 Ghz processor, 4 gig ram, ATI Radeon Xpress 1200 integrated graphics. As, I said, a crappy old laptop.

However, it will run one instance of WoW so it's being utilized.

My question is that right now it has Vista Home Basic 32 bit. I hate Vista. Think I would get better performance on this computer moving it to XP or upgrading to Win 7 64?

you are not using all your RAM currently if you have more than 3GB plus video with a 32 bit OS..

Upgrading to Windows 64 bit (either XP vista or 7) would use all your RAM

Thanks atg68. That was my thought and why I was leaning towards Win 7 64.

I run Win 7 x64 on an older laptop with 4gb ddr 2, 1.5ghz duo core w/ 512mb (shared ram) nvidia 6800m gs (pretty good back then)

it runs 2 wows (1 ab, 1 bg) with 30-40% cpu usage and 50% memory usage

i probably could make it use a lot less if i wanted to... it used to run 6x gb1 wow's just fine, but it lagged using 7
