So, from tonight, I'm getting an error when trying to authenticate my login with HB (1.9.1 stable).

Pressing 'send error report' gets me this:
  • Preparing the error report.
  • Connecting to server. (ERR 2001: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.)

I tried re-downloading HB, deleting every CC that I didn't need, reinstalling .NET framework, scanned my comp for viruses, ran it as administrator and in comparability mode for Windows XP and Vista.

Log attached, even though it probably won't solve anything.

Please do not hesitate to ask questions, all help appreciated.

Regards, Longview

I was also having this problem with previous "Beta's", it seemed that the PvpSettings.XML somehow got corrupted and even Re-Downloading that file didnt fix it, the only way i fixed it was to completely get rid of the HB of my computer and re-download all the files and meshes and not had a problem since..

you are wrong, its no the same problem

Hey Tony, thanks for the quick replies.

I tried to log in as the test user, to see if it got past authenticating. It did, and then I filled out my own info, and I got the error. I get the error if I try anything except for test/t3st.

so with trial info works but not with your info? if yes
make a new char and try to log again with trial

I have my firewalled turned OFF, and my Virus protection has honorbuddy listed as 'safe'.

I'm here as well, so if you're still having problems feel free to post here as well.

also what internet security are you using? since i have had problem's in the past were i would allow HB/GB to run but my IS still wouldnt let it work till i De-activated it.

I'm using ESET Nod32, and I've tried disabling it. I'm going to do a full format and reinstall the operating system and everything else from scratch, it's about time anyways.

Thanks for all the help guys.
