What is this?
This is a profile that will harvest Ephemeral nodes over a full Eorzean day.

The profile will only go for the highest collectability on the rarest nodes, the level 60 nodes. The quantity of items this yields is already pretty insane and the GP requirements at the speed you get level 60 nodes is too high to also use GP on the level 58 nodes. I could be persuaded to change this if someone can provide me good reason

• 60 Mining

• Stack of Cordials
• Empty inventory

Setup

• Configure your Mining Gearset #
• Configure your Botany Gearset #

Configuration

• ReductionEnable - Do you wish to have your collectible items automatically reduced? The bot will run a check each time you transition (teleport or otherwise) to a new Ephemeral rotation, meaning if it just finished the 4AM -> 8AM rotation, it will run this check before moving on to the 8AM->12PM rotation. The check to start reduction will look to see if you have fewer than 30 item slots remaining, at which point it will try and reduce all collectible items.
• FarmLightning_4PM - Do you wish to farm the Lightning Moraine Ephemeral Node at 4PM?
• FarmLightning_8PM - Do you wish to farm the Lightning Moraine Ephemeral Node at 8PM? This collides with the 8PM node which can yield you Furymint
• FarmFurymint - Do you want to gather Furymint?
• Lvl56Collectibility [Default = 550] - What Collectible rotation should the bot use for Lvl 56 items? 550 for the Lvl 56 is a special case that ExMatt's code handles specially. It will rotation through Impulsive -> Impulsive -> Methodical. I do not recommend changing this one
• Lvl58Collectibility [Default = 550] - What Collectible rotation should the bot use for Lvl 58 items?
• Lvl60Collectibility [Default = 550] - What Collectible rotation should the bot use for Lvl 60 items?
• SkipWindowDelayVar [Default = 1500] - This uses ExMatt's SkipWindowDelay. If this is set too low, the bot would move too quickly and when attempting the TouchAndGo strategy. You'd be stuck, I mean stuck. You have to force close FFXIV as NONE of the menu options will work anymore.

I tried it out and for some reason it tries to use mounts that cannot fly, also it doesn't seem to take collectible glove off so it cannot mine the other points it just goes to them and then moves on. Not been able to try Botany yet.

The mounts things is nothing to do with this profile. Let me refer you to this post on how to fix that.

It should never need to remove the Collectible glove. For Ephemeral Nodes, you do not need to deplete other nodes for them to respawn.

Thanks for the quick reply. Ah ok ill look into the mounts maybe a new feature added by Matt as I only updated for the first time in a while today.

As for the Collectible Glove, I tried it again. It went to the Ephemeral Node and did its thing fine, but after that when it goes to a regular node Glove is still active and it therefore cannot gather anything. I did try taking off Glove but it does the same thing anyway goes to the nodes and then fly's to the next until the Ephemeral node is back.

Yes.

The 12>4pm is working fine.

Ok strange the 12>4pm ran fine right until 3:50 and it stopped dropping Glove and the same thing happened. It just went from node to node until the Ephemeral one was up.

I am actively running the bot, using my profile on the 4PM -> 8PM cycle. It is running without any issue. This is how Ephemeral node farming works, it will only farm Ephemeral nodes.

Maybe I'm just not understanding what your issue with it is...What are you expecting it to be doing?

Oh maybe I am misunderstanding then. After it has been to the Ephemeral node it will go to a regular node and collect nothing. It opens the gather window and then closes it. This looks suspicious and bot like.

At the moment it just went and got the Granular Glay but after that it just went node to node opening the gathering window until the ephemeral node for peat moss showed up.

Should it be traveling to the regular lvl60 nodes and do nothing?

For Ephemeral Nodes you don't need gather normal items to make it vanish, ephemeral node will pops up eventually .

Yes, this is universally understood as the fastest way to farm Ephemeral nodes, even for non-botters.

It does use rotations when it is appropriate. ExMatt modeled the Collect550 rotation after this:

You only want to shoot for an 8/8 Purity on the Level 60 items, otherwise you're just wasting GP on inferior items. And given the speed in which you harvest Ephemeral nodes, you could be out of GP when a Level 60 node spawns.

I spoke with ExMatt about it. Leaving the non-60 items at Collect345 means you will rarely get Purity 3 yields. Purity 3 yields are when you start getting Duskborne Aethersand, which is EXTREMELY useful and sells for a lot (99x on my server is over a million gil). I wanted to have the non-60 nodes shoot for Purity 3 yields, but not use GP. I knew to do this the rotation was Impulsive -> Impulsive -> Methodical. There is no rotation set specifically for that. The Collect550 rotation has a shortcircuit in it that checks for a Level 56 item. If it finds that Level 56 item, it will do Impulsive -> Impulsive -> Methodical. Otherwise it will go about business as usual for a higher collection rate.

Also, my profile was using Collect345 on the Level 58 node because I was running an older version of ExMatt's GatherCollectable. When I had Collect550 on the Level 58 node, I was running out of GP and the bot would just sit in front of the Ephemeral node, waiting to get GP back... all the time. It was a huge amount of down time, even with Cordials. With the latest version of ExMatt's code the bot does not stop to recover GP.

TLDR: You'll get higher purity yields across the board.

I plan to make these things configurable in the near future!

With Master9000's profile or my unspoiled/legendary, my favor profile and this one almost every thing gatherable in HW are done I guess, all thanks to ExMatt's work
I think I'll have time for some little specifics profiles now, or mb try Mastercraft

Edit: Btw I didin't even knew "TouchAndGo" was existing, It'll be awesome if ExMatt can also make "1HitRemainingAnGo" for my favor profile ^^
