If the problem is SQL Server related (looks to be), i'm a sql server engineer at the largest tech company doing support for businesses using sql server. if i can help at all let me know.
 
I don't mean to sound harsh here, but I highly doubt they're going to allow you (a random user) to have access to their databases regardless of how large the company you work for is. Even you should know that wouldn't be a good idea.

Besides, their architecture is most-likely built on top of their own platform and would require knowledge that only their developers posses.

Not harsh at all. I can troubleshoot without looking at private information, I literally do it all the time at work. And no... that second part is just not true. If there is an issue with their SQL server, I will be able to troubleshoot it.
