Not sure how to stay alive in hardcore/Tips?

I started playing hardcore and I have noticed that it is impossible to gear the bot to keep him from dying. Please don't jump on that last statement and tell me how wrong I am. I believe you already but I cant figure out what is happening. My crusader with 12 million toughness including over 1k all resists, 600k life, 700k damage got killed in torment 1 today. Its very hard for me to see this happening unless the bot just did not attack or some such thing. Anyway that's my 3rd level 70 dead and I need t understand what is happening before I make another. Thanks D:confused:

Long, long, long time kill Ghom. Don't forget about the templar. Always put difficulty mode 1 is lower than you hands can play easily. By following these simple rules my WD died at 450 level, a failed attempt to go to t6. Oh Yes: in my opinion WD with pets significantly tenacious)

I have 4 accounts loaded with HC characters and none have died while botting.

I defrag every other day, and use Ccleaner and reboot the computer/router as well.

This makes for very smooth D3 running.

What I do for a new character to HC is use HC Power Leveling channel to plvl to 70 then craft all lvl 70 gear and begin Act1 normal bounty's for a few days till I have my RoRG/SoJ/TMF and other legs I can salvage for the Aughilds set with Cains and BT or what ever is needed for walking through T1.

It usually takes me as little as 2/3 days doing Act1 Normal Bounty's or at most 5/7 to find my RoRG and off I go to running T1 bounty's/rifts.

If you are having that much trouble keeping alive I would run start fresh running SC characters with the build/gear setup you use in HC and see if you can do Act1 Normal Bounty's and not die.

If you are dying cause the bot pauses in the middle of battle and dies, then you have computer issues or an insane setup with DB causing the problem and or need computer maintenance badly.

I know other HC DB users and they are doing T1 - T4 bounty's/rifts while they sleep and have little or no problems.

As ChetanG said, avoid computers/hdd issues and stuff, and after that :

- Build a WD (Pets + Fire/Physical)
- Farm Ghom @ T1-T3 as soon as you can for a while until you find a Mara's Kaleidoscope & a TMF (You could also farm T1 bounties to get a RORG)
- Max +GargDmg% and +FireDmg%
- Enjoy T6 Farming.

I did the same thing in softcore, after few days for farm to stuff up a bit, I never, ever died, and made more than 400 plvl in t6.

ummm pet build is physical, not sure why you think fire is a good idea. Also, with mostly decent gear you can kill ghom t6 no issues, get a tmf first tho
zombie or fetish + dmg, again not sure why you would go for garg.
you dont need maras for ghom, the bot avoids poison clouds.
if you have a 100% reliable computer, you should have 0 issues. if not, dont bot HC, simple
also only 2 "reliable" runs are ghom and bounties, even bounties gold time out sometimes.
rifts are not safe, bot glitches with bridges with opening mechanisms.
so much false info in here goddamn
also if your asking for advice, its better to give us some info on what happened, profile, screenshot etc

You can use +fire for Ghom because you will kill him before Fettish Army expires (hint: don't need to use Zunni)... It also synergizes well with Wrathful Protector. You can use +Garg damage to exploit the increased attack speed damage bug from Slam Dance that currently affects live servers.

The advice he gave was fine for killing Ghom.

Actually, most advice so far is brotherly good and helpful.

By the time Truth gets out of bed, a lie has made it around the world several times.

I have run 100's of Rifts with updated SVN version in HC and have had no issues at all.

My formula is this for HC...If I can farm T4 HC manually with some Health bubble drops no lower than 75% I will run my HC bot in T1 afk.
I play it safe and don't subscribe to the ego chest pounding of "I do T6 HC rifts."
lol...if you do then great, enjoy.

I have found almost perfect magefist and cindercoat in same normal bounty run.
You have exactly the same chance of a RoRG drop in normal as you do in T1. (That may not be true from what Blizz says, but having normal bounty bots running, finding more RoRG's than the T1 bots running talks a different experience.)
The only reason to move to T1 bounty's is for the full complement of gear that doesn't drop below Torment level.

oktogo is correct in his summation of Ghom kill for WD.

theres a much better build for this is all im saying. i really hope you dont have a TnT because if your using magefist over that....
Physical is much better all around for survival/dps. only thing not physical dmg is wrathful protector in ghom build.
in rifts i swap to use sychopants/enrage ghom so everything scales with physical.
also, if you havent tried rhenho for rifts, try it. its AMAZING. you have like 20 fetishes in rifts lol

HC is different.. Computer issues aside, your toon should simply be evaporating everything easily.. My basic strategy is not to die. I run through the acts in normal and run T6 chests till I am bulletproof. Then I run T1 rifts (a1 or a4) easily.. There is no reason to bot T6 in HC.. There is no reason to risk death to gather gear and resources.. If there is please enlighten me.
Even while playing manually there are the times when things get out of control and I die.. I cant expect more from the bot.. I never put all my marbles on one toon.. Spread the gear wisely and hold some back, it's HC you will be dying.. I always have two toons for HC a player and a backup or go to.. Basically a manual toon and a bot.
WD is hands down the best build for survivability, but any toon can play HC.. Don't kill them..

Hope this helps
peace

if you can manage to find a maras you can pretty much bet your bulletproof vs ghom. zombie dog can easily solo him without you pressing any buttons.
without maras of course your taking a gamble but the only reason i lost my maras was because i went from ghom to rifts and forgot to change difficulty -facepalm-
i must have done thousands and thousands ghom runs. i even had 300k hp.
the reason to be "greedy" vs ghom is because t6 nets you 1.5mill+ exp an hour with good drops. without risk. worth it
and yeah onlydad i started a witch doctor a few months into the xpac and haven't looked back, no class seems to compare.
