not getting banned tips?

What are ways to get caught getting banned? I thought it would be hard to get caught since no one can join your game.
 
Hmm Tips on Not getting banned.
1. Dont bot
2. Dont run known gold farming/levelling profiles. These include Sarkoth, Core of Arreat, Queens etc. They all will get you banned.
3. Spend some time watching your bot making sure it doesnt do stupid stuff.
4. If you use a relogger turn it off at maintenance time
 
Been botting core for months and months now -- just don't do it 24/7...nothing more than 18 hours and be sure to stop it every so often just for the hell of it. over 350m collected, only 1 db account, no ban yet.

I like #4. Never thought about that. I stop my relogger the night before so if my hsd drops it saves bnet from dropping.

Ive also had great luck with switching profiles and sending the toon to different zones. This has worked great for my bot account. Been listing tons of auctions. Makes me want to level my other 2 bots up to 90 and send them loose also
 
stupid question but...if i get disconnected and DB keeps trying to make a new game altho i am not logged onto the account...is that traceable ?? (i`m that paranoid)

Not a stupid question i ask the same thing am just as paranoid
 
What about you guys running many bots, say around 3-5. How do you handle paypal, authenticator and SMS service? All on the same paypal, same phone? Same IP?
 
I wouldnt run the same paypal, same phone. No real way around the IP. I would use something like a phone, an ipod and a normal authenticator. I am not sure of a way to get around the paypals. possibly transfer all good items to one account to sell in the AH. It is also possible to run virtual phones on a computer with Android and have authenticators that way too.

u can make virtual phones??? how?
 
Authenticator isn't much of an issue, there are many software options, even built into RadsAtom afaik.

SMS however is an issue. Moving items to the paypal account would solve it, but also increase the risk of a multi-account ban.
 
I have no idea if this helps but I rename all my .exe's to some common ones (iexplore, msimn, etc...). Just my little bit of paranoia for this thread. :)

im gonna rename too, it cant hurt:)? maybe rename it to "u_mad_bro.exe" "or "hy_blizzard" :cool:

I used a relogger during the 1.5 patch. Bad idea? I woke up to the bot attempting to re-log, im just guessing it tried to do that thousands of times. But seeing as it did not connect to blizzard, am I in the clear?
