Not detecting as many mons as it should

Hey i just got a new key had it running great but now its seeming to really slow down. I put it downtown and it just really slowed down alot of times the pokemon will pop up on the map but instantly dissaper im catching some but not near as many as before. Seems like its having problems detecting pokemon from lures and less in general. Put it at the hot spot downtown at a 4 spot lure on the river and it was having alot of them pop up then instantly dissapper.
