Noob needs help with Warrior in PvP

So I gave this HB thing a try and observed its every move. Its great for archeology and leveling from zero but I can't make it do much right at level 85 PvP in the BG. I have a duel spec prot or furry warrior and i've tried both. Despite checking the box telling it not to "stance dance" it seems to insist on being in Arms which severally impacts its abilities. Also It changes targets constantly and never focuses on near death combatants. I wonder if there is a warrior pvp specific plugin or profile I should be using? I have looked but being new to this im not having any luck finding anything.

I'm certain it can be better with some tweaking but where to start?

First off which CC are you using?

Are you set on only playing fury for PVP? reason i ask there is more CCs for Arms PVP

You don't need any plugin/profile. start slow. get a good CC to start and add in plugins when you understand more about honorbuddy

I dont seem to have a choice which CC to use, its using what ever came with the HB2 download. When I click on the Configure Class button I get a UI full of options but no option to choose a CC.

part of my problem is that I didn't know what a CC was, I had assumed it was another way of saying profile. This means that I really have two problems. One is that the profiles that come with HB don't apply to what I am trying to do. i.e. level 46 priest in a level appropriate dungeon. I don't see any profile that matches anything I am trying to do.

another example level 85 warrior trying to do the current lunar festival quests. No profile for that listed anywhere that I can find.

Second and now the new problem is that I also need to add CCs?

Im not set on using furry, I actually want to use prot.

I've read both and they have helped a lot. They helped me understand the difference between a CC and a profile. Here is my main problem. When I search for profiles and or CCs I can't find what I need.

Do I NEED a profile for the location I am at? i.e. if I am running a specific instance do I need a profile for that instance? If I want to do the lunar festival quest (holiday quest) where do I go to find the profile? If I want to pvp as a prot warrior where do I go to find the CCs

i've searched a lot on the forums and they aren't very search friendly. Or I am just bad at it. The wiki seems to be completely empty of approved profiles. There has to be a better way.

Depending on what you want to do. Yes you need profiles.

Instances you don't need profile but you need to enable either Combat Bot or Download LazyRaider from the forums. Unless you want it to be 90% AFK then Load the BotBase InstanceBuddy and set that up. as for Lunar Festival you require Profile. Look under Submitted Profiles. Under That section you will see a lot more categories. Also check Tested Profiles Section.

For CCs look under Classes go to Warrior you can find the CCs there. But some of the profiles/CCs require you to know how to download thru their SVN. SVN how to guide http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/guides/26031-videoguide-how-svn-jvidia.html

Thanks, I am getting the hang of it now.

So far I have discovered that I love using Lazyraider with Dunatank's Warrior CC for PvP. It does quit well.

Archeology bot was simple with literally no set up required and got me from 255 to 525 in a couple long but monitored marathon sessions spanning 2 days.

Combat bot, instancebuddy and BGbot don't work well for me at all. Either they don't work at all or they act so much like a bot that I am afraid I will be banned. I will try to adapt lazyraider to my priest for dungeons once I find a good priest CC.

Here are my main complaints, besides some bots being unusable, The explanation of how to set up Profiles and CCs is vague and meant for people with a basic understanding. IMO there should be a detailed step by step set up guide with links to multiple "approved" profiles, plugins and CCs within the guide. Perhaps a start to finish video that incorporates SVN and anything else that is important. There should be an explanation of what comes with HB2 and what does not. When I purchased it I had literally no idea I would need to search the internet for plugins, CCs and profiles for which I had no knowledge of. Beginning with the fact that I didn't know what was proven to work and what some random posted as the next great thing. Also in this forum there are a ton of acronyms used to describe things making noob forum searches nearly impossible. Many of the acronyms are self explanatory but not all. The wiki page had promise as a goto location for proven profiles and CCs but it appears to be under construction or completely lacking that type of content.

Still given all that I said above I love this thing. I will use it a lot and I can't wait to set my phone up to control it remotely. I may even try to write my own CCs and profiles.

If you're not opposed to playing Arms in PvP I would recommend EzArms or Singular Arms (Arms is generally best for PvP but I understand some people would rather play the spec they like whether it's better or not). For PvE I would recommend Dunatanks. I've had nice success in all three specs. As for your priest, I've had good luck with Altarboy for Shadow, UPrHCCBT for Holy, and Disc Priest CC for Disc.
