No sound on whisper

Heyho lovely Community,
someone threatens me to report me as a botter...i was wondering how he got it...now i know!
I can not respond to whispers because there isnt any sound making me recognize that someone wrote...
So could you guys tell me how to fix my issue? I have already updated the bot.

Huge Thanks mates...i'll have a try with "Shutup"-plugin...sounds puristic and easy to handle.
I wonder wether it is possible to get a push mail to your iDevice (Iphone) when someone whispers you ingame...read sth about irc, but dont get along with it

MAKE SURE you enter the settings and turn off "Answer whisper" with that plugin. I use it on all my toons and have to do it...the default replies are totally crazy.
