No email? Then no Perm Ban? (Wait for 12 hours really works?

If i failed to get data from server, and no email from Niantic, then i should wait for the 12 Hours?? Does that even work, or why the wait 12 hours message is for?
 
My secondary account was banned for more than 36 hours now. I didnt get to say goodbye.. Alas, my main just got banned too! Which I didnt get to say good bye as well... So long buddy! haha
 
No eMail (according to my research) just means you got banned for an uncertain amount of time (what includes perm).
There are already a few players claiming, their bans have been lifted.
